I'm a Non-Toxic Alex Neggy, and I'm mildly optimistic about Too Much LDS, because I gather Alex has less to do with the show than the other CBSAA Trex. I don't think I've seen more than 3 episodes of Richard & Morton, but at least Mike seems to have a higher IQ than Alex. Plus it's a cartoon comedy, so who cares too much either way; but I have hopes that it will at least equal the quality of "THE JIHAD."
Just because someone makes a show you don't like doesn't mean anything about their IQ. No need to be insulting.

I'm not terribly interested in animation stuff, unfortunately. Asterix, Simpsons, Futurama - that's about what I liked. OTOH, I liked Futurama a lot. Plus, I will need something to fill the long time before my next fix of Picard. From what I read about it, I've nver felt compelled to watch The Orville. So, bring on DSC, SNW and LDS - I'll check it out.
I'm not sure all Kurtzman haters are right wing. Overzealous fans can just be that. It doesn't need a political element to it.

The Man in right context is actually the coolest term used to describe corrupt government. The Hippies had some of the coolest slang around. Way more interesting than the Patriarchy that just makes me think of Tom Brady and BIll Bellicheck or The Establishment. I kind of like The Establishment but it's no "The Man." The 1% is fine but that's more about the people running the corporations than the government.
I also like that was what they were calling the bad guys on Alias at first when we were sort of introduced to them via Quentin Tarantino who of course is someone who defiantly has the cool factor to be called "The Man" because "The Man" can also be a term representing someone really cool or bad ass as well.

The showrunner has creative and managerial responsibility for a particular show. For scripted series, they serve as the head writer, and set the creative direction for the show. They may consult with the EP about the general direction of a show, but the day to day responsibility falls to them. Some examples, Krista Vernoff is the current showrunner for Grey's Anatomy. Shonda Rhimes is involved, gives input, and can suggest things, but Vernoff is the one in the writers room figuring out the creative direction for the show. Greg Berlanti has a lot of input on the Arrowverse shows as the EP, but each show has its own showrunner: Eric Wallace for the Flash, Salim Akil for Black Lightning, Caroline Dries for Batwoman, etc. Berlanti, Kurtzman, and other high powered EPs typically have numerous shows on the air simultaneously and don't have the time to actually run each show. Kurtzman DID run the second half(ish) of Discovery Season 2 after the previous showrunners were fired early in the season.

The episode was hilarious. And I'm a fan of The Orville. Took me over a year to give it a chance, but it wasn't what I expected.

I enjoyed the episode, too, and gave it an 8. Good pilot. So far, I like all the main characters. guess I'm not going to get into it as much as I would a live action show, but that's fine.
