Pasteur is hit again, Chilton is killed by an exploding console.

Our shields have collapsed. We are defenseless!

 

[Vanyel]

Data: Captain, another ship is decloaking bearing 2-1-5, mark 3-1-0. It’s the Enterprise. (The Enterprise appears and heads towards the ships.) They’re hailing us.

 

[LeadHead]

Beverly: On screen.

 

[Vanyel]

Riker: I had a feeling you weren’t going to listen to me. Stand by, I’ll see if I can get the Klingons’ attention. (The Enterprise uses it mega-phaser o’death and destroys one Klingon ship with ease.)

 

[LeadHead]

Worf: The Enterprise is drawing their fire.

 

[Vanyel]

Crusher: Damage report.

 

[LeadHead]

La Forge: The warp core is badly damaged. There's a breach in progress.

 

[Vanyel]

Picard: We have to stop it.

 

[LeadHead]

Data: Klingon Ship is disengaging. Admiral Riker is hailing us.

 

[Vanyel]

Riker: Our sensors indicate your ship has a warp core breach in progress. Prepare for emergency beam out.

 

[LeadHead]

They beam to the Main Bridge of the Enterprise.

Gaines: All of the Pasteur's crew is safely aboard Admiral.

 

[Vanyel]

Riker: Raise the shields. Where are the Klingons?

 

[LeadHead]

Gaines: They're still moving off Sir. Half a Light year away.

 

[Vanyel]

Riker: They’ll be back. As I said I figured you wouldn’t take no for an answer. (To Worf…) But I thought you had more sense than to send a defenseless ship across the border into hostile territory with no escort.

 

[LeadHead]

Worf: If you had not turned down the Captain when he came to you for help, none of this would have happened! But unlike you, I still have a sense of honor and loyalty-

 

[Vanyel]

Picard: We don’t have time for this. The Pasteur’s core is about to breach.

 

[LeadHead]

Riker: Take us out of here, Full Impulse.

Enterprise departs the area ad the Pasteur explodes.

All right, lets get out of here.

 

[Vanyel]

Picard: No Will we can’t! We have to save humanity!

 

[LeadHead]

Riker: Engage Cloak.

 

[Vanyel]

Gaines: Admiral, we took a direct hit to the starboard plasma coil. Our cloak isn’t functioning. Engineering reports it’ll be 7 hours before we can cloak again.
