ALIENS: What if J.Cameron had stuck to the ALIEN's Original Lifecycle?

I think ALIENS would have been the same film for the most part. Well, most of the way through the picture would've been the same, except the ending.

How would a Queen-less ALIENS have ended?

Personally I'm glad James Cameron added the Queen, but its fun to speculate.

I actually have a theory as to why or how to alien who got aboard the Nostromo made the crew members into eggs due to the absence of a queen. Maybe they do that out of instinct knowing that one of the eggs will spawn a queen. Perhaps that's one of the many things a drone alien can do - inject the victim with some kind of enzyme that will alter the victim's DNA turning him or her into an egg/facehugger.

It's clear that an alien can sense a queen from Alien3.

It could be said that ALL aliens have the ability to create Queen DNA. Maybe Brett was becoming a Queen, and Dallas would've become another facehugger for Ripley. Or if the Nostromo survived and was recovered by a salvage ship, could've become a facehugger for the salvage crew.

Does pose the question as to why Parker and Lambert were killed outright though. You would've thought they would've been captured like the others. Different MO - there were TWO aliens!!!
