Aliens in Pegasus

It's obvious those daedalus variations dudes were wraith, they've clearly just taken a different evolutionary path.

How so?

1) They were in the Pegasus Galaxy.

Uh, so? It's not like the Wraith are the only sentient race encountered in the Pegasus Galaxy other than humans. Besides that, there's still unexplored parts of the galaxy that could easily house a race they've never encountered before. And that just in "our" universe. In a different universe, whose to say what races live in Pegasus?

2) They looked exactly like the wraith apart from the added technology part.

Huh?

You are saying that is a Wraith?

And anyway, if it were an alternate version of a Wraith, we'd know, because the guys making the show would have said so. As it stands, they are officially an unknown alien race. The Wraith are known, so logic dictates these are not Wraith.

No, the most obvious possibility is that they are a race that we have never seen before (especially since that's what everyone involved with the show has said they were). The Wraith possibility is just a theory, and one with no real factual basis. The only thing theses aliens and the Wraith truly have in common is that they are both evil, and both have been seen in Pegasus. They could just as easily be an alternate version of the Asgard. Besides, why would the creators specifically design the aliens to be an alternate version of the Wraith, but then lie about it to everyone?

I can't see them being wraith either for that matter, we don't even know if there are wraith in that universe.
