The
episode guides are up on the official site. Not a huge amount of interest, mostly just the same
concept art they showed off at celebration, and little interview snippets for each episode that sounds familiar and is probably from video promo material they've also already put out. So sadly, no BTS trivia galleries, which is usually where most of the interest is in these things.
Incidentally, I've been keeping half an eye on the
new databank entries as the episodes aired, but now it's a week past the finale I thought I'd list off some of the new additions as well as the existing ones that've been significantly updated beyond just the thumbnail; -
AHSOKA TANO
"Former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano once served as the Padawan learner to the Jedi Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars. A respected leader and warrior attuned to the light side of the Force, Ahsoka grew into a formidable fighter before the Empire’s reign changed the course of galactic history. Although she walked away from the Jedi Order, she continued to stand up for those fighting for peace and justice in the galaxy long after the fall of the Republic."
SABINE WREN
"Sabine Wren is a Mandalorian warrior and graffiti artist with a creative and rebellious spirit. Independent by nature, during the age of the Empire a young Sabine defected from the Imperial Academy of Mandalore and joined a small rebel cell operating out of the Ghost and led by Hera Syndulla and the Jedi Knight Kanan Jarrus. With a gift for colorful explosives and uniquely-painted beskar, Sabine’s signature starbird — a mark she left to sign her street art and other handiwork — inspired what would become the symbol for the Rebel Alliance."
PROFESSOR HUYANG
"An ancient droid, but still quick of mind, Huyang oversaw the construction of lightsabers in the Jedi Order for centuries. After the fall of the Republic and the Jedi, his databanks remain a repository of ancient Jedi lore, including an exacting record of every lightsaber constructed under his supervision. A storied architect and professor, during the Clone Wars Huyang was based out of the training vessel Crucible, where he guided younglings in the art of saber construction as part of their journey to become Padawans. He continues to be operational after the end of the Jedi Order, surviving through the rise and fall of the Empire, to see the dawn of the New Republic."
HERA SYNDULLA
"Once the heart of the Ghost crew during the age of the Empire, Hera Syndulla continues to serve as the captain of her ship while fighting for freedom from oppression as a general in the New Republic during an era of reconstruction. A gifted pilot with a knack for dogfighting with TIE fighters and a steadfast leader who was instrumental in leading the successful Lothal rebellion, Syndulla is now a mother, veteran, and general."
JACEN SYNDULLA
"The son of Hera Syndulla and the late Jedi Knight Kanan Jarrus, Jacen is a blend of his exceptional parents."
EZRA BRIDGER
"One of the few to be trained as a Jedi after the fall of the Republic, Ezra Bridger grew up an orphan on the streets of Lothal during the age of the Empire. Although he had learned to be wary of strangers, his introduction to the Ghost crew, a small band of rebels fighting back against the Imperial regime, changed his outlook and his future. Training in the ways of the Force under the mentorship of Kanan Jarrus, Ezra became a Jedi Padawan and a part of the emerging rebellion. He also grew close to Hera Syndulla, Zeb, Chopper, and Sabine Wren, who was like a sister in his new found family. After several years together, Bridger vanished during the Battle of Lothal, disappearing into parts unknown in a hyperspace jump that pulled Ezra and Grand Admiral Thrawn into deep space."
GRAND ADMIRAL THRAWN
"When the Empire needed a strong commander to dismantle the rebellion on Lothal, they called upon Grand Admiral Thrawn. A brilliant strategist as ruthless as he is cunning, Thrawn is known for studying his enemies — including their art and culture — to gain tactical advantages often overlooked by his peers. He will stop at nothing to secure a victory for himself and those he serves with a stunning ruthlessness."
CAPTAIN ENOCH
"Grand Admiral Thrawn’s captain of the guard, Captain Enoch is an ominous sentinel. Enoch wears a modified helmet with a golden face hammered into his mask."
BAYLAN SKOLL
"Baylan Skoll is lightsaber-wielding mercenary for hire overseeing his apprentice Shin Hati. But make no mistake: although there was a time when Skoll knew the acclaimed Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, Baylan is no Jedi. Now allied to Morgan Elsbeth, the former Magistrate of Calodan, after the fall of the Jedi and the Empire, Skoll remains a shrewd fighter in search of power who believes that another war is inevitable."
SHIN HATI
"The eager apprentice of Baylan Skoll, Shin Hati is adept at lightsaber combat, a skill she uses in their work as mercenaries allied to Morgan Elsbeth, the former Magistrate of Calodan."
MAGISTRATE MORGAN ELSBETH
"The coldhearted former Magistrate of Calodan, Morgan Elsbeth is an ally of Grand Admiral Thrawn and an enemy of the New Republic. A formidable fighter with a mysterious past, Elsbeth once hunted Ahsoka Tano on the world of Corvus before she was bested in battle and arrested for acting as an Imperial sympathizer."
MARROK (INQUISITOR)
"Once an Inquisitor hunting Jedi for the Empire, the mysterious Marrok now works as a mercenary hired by Morgan Elsbeth to carry out dark deeds. Fully encased in battered battle armor, the warrior still carries a red double-bladed saber with a circular hilt."
STAR NAVIGATOR DROID
"With programmed navigation skills and efficiency, the Star Navigator droids carry out the orders of Mrogan Elsbeth as she brings her plans to fruition."
BANDITS OF PERIDEA
"Roaming the desolate hills of distant Peridea, armed bandits prey on unprotected caravans, charging atop their howlers to swiftly attack unsuspecting travelers."
NIGHT TROOPERS
"Loyal to Grand Admiral Thrawn and inhumanly persistent, the Night Troopers were once stormtroopers now animated by sinister majik of the Great Mothers to become a macabre fighting force."
PURRGIL
"Massive space-whales, purrgil are rare creatures that are the stuff of many legends, dwelling neither on land nor sea. Purrgil propel themselves gracefully through space by flexing muscular tentacles along with several fins. Gulping interstellar gasses for sustenance to fuel their spectacular ability to naturally jump through hyperspace, pods of purrgil can occasionally be seen traveling."
ARCANA
"Arcana is an ancient world marked by crumbling ruins. Within its forgotten subterranean chambers are secrets from a long-ago age and clues to the mystery surrounding the disappearance of Grand Admiral Thrawn and Ezra Bridger."
SEATOS
"The world of Seatos boasts a lush landscape dominated by red forests and vast oceans. Along one coastal outcropping, a cliffside henge has been erected as a reflex point to uncover the secrets of an ancient star map."
AHSOKA'S T-6 JEDI SHUTTLE
"In the age of the New Republic, Ahsoka Tano travels across the galaxy in her shuttle, T-6 1974. A classic design once used by the Jedi Order in the time of the Clone Wars, the rotating parts of a T-6 shuttle allow for flexibility of configuration when landing on a variety of planetary surfaces or docking with starships and stations."
ETA-CLASS SHUTTLE
"As Master and apprentice, Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati travel the stars in an elegant Eta-class shuttle that once served the Jedi Order. After transporting Jedi generals in the final years of the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars, it now ferries the two mercenaries as they conduct business throughout the galaxy."
HOME ONE
"Once the headquarters of the Rebel Alliance fleet during the storied Battle of Endor, the frigate Home One now serves as the flagship of the New Republic Fleet. Originally built as a civilian exploration vessel, the Mon Calamari vessel craft was later retrofitted for military service. In contrast to standard-issue frigates of this model, Home One has been armored with heavy hull plating, triple-strength shields, and extensive offensive weapons. Home One served as Admiral Gial Ackbar’s flagship at the Battle of Endor, withstanding attacks from swarms of Imperial starfighters and witnessing the destruction of the second Death Star."
MARROK'S FIEND FIGHTER
"The RP82 Fiend fighters of Morgan Elsbeth's mercenaries are compact, high performance assault craft. In addition to his Force talents, Marrok is a formidable pilot."
SHIN HATI'S FIEND FIGHTER
"The RP82 Fiend fighters of Morgan Elsbeth's mercenaries are compact, high performance assault craft. In addition to her dueling skills, Shin Hati is talented in starship combat."
NEW REPUBLIC E-WINGS
"Although it is a time of peace, the E-wing is a new advanced combat vessel introduced as part of the New Republic fleet in the years after the Empire’s fall."
SABINE'S SPEEDER BIKE
"Once an outdated Imperial 614 AvA speeder bike, Sabine Wren modified the small craft for speed and maneuverability as well as painting the frame in her distinct artistic style. For safety, she wears a helmet with a caricature of a small Loth-cat on the side."
THE EYE OF SION
"Morgan Elsbeth commands the Eye of Sion, a unique starship powered by three distinct clusters of hyperdrive engines installed along a circular chassis. Capable of traveling across vast distances, the hyperspace ring can even move beyond the known galaxy."
THE GHOST
"Named for its ability to travel past Imperial sensors without detection, the Ghost has served Captain and pilot Hera Syndulla and her droid, Chopper, for more than a decade. A customized VCX-100 light freighter, the Ghost boasts a number of systems designed to elude foes, including a 360-degree dorsal laser cannon turret, two forward laser cannons, and two rear laser cannons. During the time of the Empire, the starship also served as a mobile base for Syndulla’s small band of rebels working to aid the people of Lothal and other planets in need. After the Galactic Civil War that brought about the New Republic, Hera still prefers flying the Ghost to other ships, using it as a homebase for herself, her droid, and her son, Jacen. Although the original detachable shuttle, the Phantom, was lost in combat with the Empire, the Ghost now operates with the assistance of the Phantom II, a repurposed Neimoidian Sheathipede-class shuttle."
I also noticed they changed the
Loth-Cat entry, but all that's really different from the
previous version text-wise is that they've removed the reference to it being a breed of Tooka, which seems odd.
One other small note; while the text on the
Morai page hasn't been updated, it does feature what may be the highest resolution image we have of her live action incarnation to date.
I'd say they're clearly basing her design on a barn owl specifically, which is interesting given the animated version is decidedly more rotund. Like, all but spherical . . .
ETA: Oh and there's this.
Not sure when Youtube is going to stop trying to compete with tiktok and just get better at what it already does well, but I hope it's soon, because these "shorts" are really annoying.
ETA+1: The official twitter account (no, I refuse to call it "X") has started
posting some more concept art not previously included on the aforementioned episode guides. Kinda wild that Ryan Church is still producing concept are for LF having gotten his start in the industry in the art departments for AotC & RotS.
