Well, the Council wasn't. Captain Palleon was advocating for it. So, whatever knowledge of his arrival sounded like more propaganda, which Gideon was saying was not useful and rather move forward with his plans.
But, somehow Thrawn had communication with the GFFA and Morgan. So perhaps that was in the route of information.
The Chosen One.
At that point it would have been thirty years out of date and the First Order's own Star Destroyers are larger and more advanced.
Also, I suspect Pellaeon might well be hanging out on Dathomir.
If Thrawn doesn't keep the Eye of Sion for his own ship, I suspect they might use its engines to help refit the Eclipse and bring it into battle with the New Republic. All while keeping a core of ships in the Unknown Regions to build up the First Order. Eventually replacing their ISDs for newer ships and building the Mega-class Star Destroyer that will be the First Order's mobile capitol.
The episode guides are up on the official site. Not a huge amount of interest, mostly just the same concept art they showed off at celebration, and little interview snippets for each episode that sounds familiar and is probably from video promo material they've also already put out. So sadly, no BTS trivia galleries, which is usually where most of the interest is in these things.
Incidentally, I've been keeping half an eye on the new databank entries as the episodes aired, but now it's a week past the finale I thought I'd list off some of the new additions as well as the existing ones that've been significantly updated beyond just the thumbnail; -
I also noticed they changed the Loth-Cat entry, but all that's really different from the previous version text-wise is that they've removed the reference to it being a breed of Tooka, which seems odd.
One other small note; while the text on the Morai page hasn't been updated, it does feature what may be the highest resolution image we have of her live action incarnation to date.
I'd say they're clearly basing her design on a barn owl specifically, which is interesting given the animated version is decidedly more rotund. Like, all but spherical . . .

Not sure when Youtube is going to stop trying to compete with tiktok and just get better at what it already does well, but I hope it's soon, because these "shorts" are really annoying.
ETA+1: The official twitter account (no, I refuse to call it "X") has started posting some more concept art not previously included on the aforementioned episode guides. Kinda wild that Ryan Church is still producing concept are for LF having gotten his start in the industry in the art departments for AotC & RotS.

I just finished "Ahsoka". To be honest, I didn't love it. I thought the pacing was a bit uneven throughout the series. I didn't like the zombie stormtroopers and I DID NOT like Thrawn. In fact, I found him as boring in this as I did in "Rebels". I did enjoy the finale and I especially enjoyed Ahsoka's second duel against Morgan. Much better than their duel in "The Mandalorian". I think Disney/Lucasfilm needs to finish this story.
This brings up an issue that's been bothering me since I saw the finale. Which of Thrawn's stormtroopers are undead, and which ones aren't? When the sixth episode aired, some websites proclaimed that all of Thrawn's troopers were zombies. That seemed unlikely to say the least, but the above quote seems to say the same thing. Unless not all of the troops are "Night Troopers".OS said:
We're shown a group of 'volunteers' who have been blessed by the Great Mothers and 'made aware', presumably of the fact that they will be reanimated after death. It would seem that these ones are not yet zombies at that point. As far as I can tell, the only zombies encountered in the episode are the reanimated group and the two (Excessively Literal) Death Troopers encountered by Sabine and Ezra. The troops who break through the blast door don't appear to be zombies - they move normally and don't make weird noises, if that means anything. It also seems unlikely that the two troopers encountered by Ezra on the edge of the Chimaera's hangar bay are zombies, given that one's comlink receives a radio call from another seemingly normal individual ( his dialogue is noticeably absent of any references to brains, for one thing ).
Judging by how the Night Troopers started to act less zombie and more Stormtrooper, I somehow get the impression that while they might be zombies, they seem to regain their sense of self and I guess mend over time....at least partly.
Thrawn did say his numbers were dwindling over time, so it will remain unclear if his Night Troopers are a mix of living and undead, or all undead but require a Nightsister to bring them back again and again (when they aren't casting, they stay down).
The troopers that went after Sabine on Shin's call were probably all living. Or they were also undead but Thrawn decided that their losses would be acceptable without resorting to the Nightsisters again to bring them back.

I meant to post this earlier but it slipped my mind: Vol 2 of the Ahsoka soundtrack is out, or all those that wish to listen to the Kiners' work.
Which honestly feels right. One would think a resurrection spell is no easy undertaking and likely comes at a cost to the Mothers, so not something they can be called upon to do very often.
That said, it's pretty clear that the Death Troopers have already been brought back at least once, and we did see Ezra kill the two of them stationed on the bridge in the Rebels finale. Presumable these are the very same. I can't imagine there were any others still alive by the time Ezra made it to the bridge; their whole purpose after all is to be Thrawn's personal guard, and we know he didn't deploy them to the surface.
It's still a bit of a mystery exactly what caused the attrition. Seems unlikely that it was just Ezra. I suppose they could have been raiding the raiders for provisions, and there's also the possibility of an attempted mutiny early on. Even if all of the Night Troopers are alive prior to what we see, the damage and Magikal repairs to their armour proves that they've been fighting someone for this last decade. I mean you'd think an ISD would be fairly well stocked when it came to spare armor pieces, so for them to ALL be wearing obviously repaired armor means there's been a LOT of attrition. I think what still seems potentially rather more sinister to me (which may be entirely down to production practicalities) is the total absence of any Imperial personnel other than troopers and pilots. No techs, not crew, no officers, not even any droids that I could see.
As far as them mental state of the undead goes; yeah, they seem bestial when awakened, but within minutes are using blasters and breaching charges. So while they may no longer have a will of their own, they seem to retain some semblance of their skills beyond walking and grappling. I don't recall what kind of faculties the Nightsister zombies had on Dathomir, but then they were also much further gone to begin with, so perhaps the bodies being "fresh" is a factor?
Given how Ezra reacted to the resurrection, it's a safe bet that this hasn't been the norm for them otherwise he'd have seen it before now, and they made a very definite point about that.
Which honestly feels right. One would think a resurrection spell is no easy undertaking and likely comes at a cost to the Mothers, so not something they can be called upon to do very often.
That said, it's pretty clear that the Death Troopers have already been brought back at least once, and we did see Ezra kill the two of them stationed on the bridge in the Rebels finale. Presumable these are the very same. I can't imagine there were any others still alive by the time Ezra made it to the bridge; their whole purpose after all is to be Thrawn's personal guard, and we know he didn't deploy them to the surface.
It's still a bit of a mystery exactly what caused the attrition. Seems unlikely that it was just Ezra. I suppose they could have been raiding the raiders for provisions, and there's also the possibility of an attempted mutiny early on. Even if all of the Night Troopers are alive prior to what we see, the damage and Magikal repairs to their armour proves that they've been fighting someone for this last decade. I mean you'd think an ISD would be fairly well stocked when it came to spare armor pieces, so for them to ALL be wearing obviously repaired armor means there's been a LOT of attrition. I think what still seems potentially rather more sinister to me (which may be entirely down to production practicalities) is the total absence of any Imperial personnel other than troopers and pilots. No techs, not crew, no officers, not even any droids that I could see.

Question is, did they still have green eyes after they blew the door and gave chase? When they surrounded Ahsoka at the top of the tower? They should still be zombies (probably even waited for a command from Elzbeth, but did they still have green eyes, cause those troopers didn't get back up (the Great Mother's having left with Thrawn and were no longer casting).
All we know for sure is that it's never happened in Ezra's presence before, hence: "No, this is new . . ."

Slightly related, I noticed that aside from the hangar deck, we don't see any of the Star Destroyer's interiors. Even when it comes time head back to the home galaxy, Thrawn assumes command on the giant hyperdrive ring's bridge rather than the SD's bridge.
Makes sense, since his ship is all but a derelict at this point.
