Spoilers AHSOKA series [Spoiler Discussion]

Kind of falls apart considering how often we see someone flying around on a jetpack on The Mandalorian.

Maybe. Maybe they didn't have the budget for this series. Or they just didn't know how to write the story with her having it. Idk.

It just would be nice to have had an explanation as to why she didn't have what seems to be an integral part of Mando warrior stuff, one she already had.

Sue me. I'm hopeful every time out that there will be something to enjoy in any given episode, even if that is (quite often) not the case.
With due respect, and I struggle with the premise as it is, this feels very much like the definition of insanity.

I stopped watching Clone Wars, Mando Season 1, and other SW content because no content is worth the aggravation. Nothing.

Now, I might be the exception, given the common nature of comments such as yours, but no universe is worth my time in the vain hope it might be good. Star Wars is fun for me, not a chore, not a drudgery, not a penance, but fun. And if it stops being fun, or if I hope it will be fun someday, then I'm done. I long suffer with a lot of things in real life. TV shows are not one of them.

So witches, zombies, ghosts, was this the stealth Star Wars Halloween Special?
Ghosts have been there for a while. So have witches.

So...no.

I have a piece of advice for you, if you hate a show so much STOP FUCKING WATCHING IT!!!! Seriously, I really don't understand why the hell people keep watching a show when they hate it so much.

I can answer that. I'm hoping that "the next ep" will redeem the show; that somehow something happens that makes everything that we've watched already make sense.

I like Star Wars. I like Star Trek. I like Marvel. I like DC. I want better writing and not what we're getting.

And yes....I'll still watch in hopes that the next series, the next ep will be better. Had I given up on Trek(Discovery, Picard) I wouldn't have watched Strange New Worlds and Prodigy.

Fine.

SNW and PRO would not be worth the aggravation that I see presented on a day to day basis. Sorry, it's just not.

And if that's judgmental of me so be it. I'm not going to listen to long screeds of "harming the brand" and then see people tune in again.

That's madness.

OK, I can kind of see that, but if you really hate episode after episode, after 2 or 3 episodes it's probably not gonna get any better.
You can engage with my comments in a mature, thoughtful way or you can just completely ignore me.
When people insult shows and people who I'm a fan of pisses me off.
But don't tell me how to spend my fucking time. There are dozens of shows in a given week that are great that I watch. And I have abandoned countless shows that I don't like.
I keep watching (most) Star Wars content because I like the universe. There are some things that were either terrible or just not interesting to me and so I did stop.

But after years of hating stuff from a specific writer or section of a franchise then there's about 100% it's not going to just suddenly turn into something you like.
I'm a huge lifelong Trekkie, but even I gave up on Enterprise at one point, because I just wasn't enjoying it, and as much as I love Star Trek, it wasn't worth wasting my time on it, so I quit. That's not the only time I've given up on or not bothered with stuff from franchises or series that I'm fan of, becasue I either didn't like or could tell before I even saw it that I wasn't going to.
So stop being a judgy prick about it. Go about your business.
I try to, but after awhile my irritation just gets the better of me and I can't take it any more.

Okay, so you only want to discuss things with people who agree with you. Got it. Very mature and enlightened of you.

But at least you have the balls to admit it.
I don't know if I'd say that, but I'd prefer to discuss stuff with people who are going to do more than just rip on the show repeated ever time something new comes out.

It pisses you off because I insulted a show you like? Seriously?? Grow up!

You should probably stay indoors, life is clearly too much of a challenge for you.

I still hope we'll eventually get to see the Great Purged televised in some fashion and not as a flashback (or series of flashbacks).
Eh. I'm less interested in the purge itself and more what was going on with the Mandalorian uprising for those 4 years, now that we know it happened closer to Endor that Yavin on the timeline. If it was part of Operation Cinder, then one can pretty much guess how it played out.

This thread, and bbs in general, is much better when you use the ignore function to it's fullest potential :) Don't engage the stupidity at all.

Anyways, this series was fucking awesome. Rosario, Natasha, Tennant, and Eman all knocked it out of the park with their respective characters. Hayden was fricking amazing. Baylan, Thrawn, and Elsbeth & The Sisters were all excellent villains. Chop was Chop

I couldn't have wanted anything more from season 5 of Rebels :D

Critical appraisal of quality is not welcome, apparently. So it goes.

There was quite a lot in this show that I liked, and there were a few things that I found eye-rollingly bad. The zombie stormtroopers weren't a problem for me and I understand why hacking them to pieces was judged an inappropriate solution - although I would have loved to watch that as a child and I was far from the sort who enjoyed pulling the legs off insects. In my day, most kids could tell the difference between reality and fantasy. I was already an adult when Star Wars first came out, so I've always appreciated it as a higher quality continuation of the tradition of Saturday matinee adventure yarns. I was far too old to become devoted to such entertainment. I'd already deconstructed its essence in my own terms before I learned about Joseph Campbell and the Hero's Journey, the Kurosawa influences, and so on.

I expected better from Dave Filoni, although he doesn't have a perfect record. Ahsoka looked like it was expensive to produce (over $100M, apparently), so if the viewing numbers and audience response are poor, further seasons seem unlikely to be commissioned. If they are greenlit, though, I'd hope the show can improve, like Foundation did on Apple+. Some shows I won't name that feature on other streaming services are probably beyond redemption...

Well if you see any, you will be sure to let us all know! ;)
I would mostly agree...except no Zeb!
Yeah, that's probably been the most confusing part of all of this. On the one hand I get that he's prohibitively expensive for a TV budget to have him as a recurring character (though supposedly one of the kids on 'Skeleton Crew' is playing a CG performance capture type character?) but why go to the expense of giving him a cameo in Mando of all things and not Ahsoka? It's possible Dave felt that if he couldn't give Zeb the screen time and attention he deserves with the old Ghost crew, best to just leave him out of it for now. They could also have something else in mind for his character on the horizon, but we'll have to wait and see on that one.
