The feng shui is completely off. The Discovery is going to have nothing but bad luck! The new uniforms and Discovery's bridge don't match. They will have to go fullApple storestarbase/computer core room with the bridge now, IMHO.

Black trousers would look great on them. I tried the black collars, but they didn't really add anything to it.All they need are some little hats and they'd all look like bellhops...
I mean it's not the worst design ever, but it's not great. It needs some contrast in there to make it pop. Even switching to black trousers (and maybe collars?) would help. I'd also kinda wished they'd embraced the Bajoran Militia inspired cut. That at least had some personality.
Mind you, these all look an awful lot more like dress uniforms than duty uniforms, so i wouldn't be shocked if they look a little different the next time we see them. The collar design looks especially awkward and uncomfortable.
Yeah I had a go at the collars too and while I thought it might make the rank insignia more legible, it doesn't really halp matters.Black trousers would look great on them. I tried the black collars, but they didn't really add anything to it.

EDIT:
Of course they could go really "old school" in their coloring scheme

Hope not! Even if they ax the command division for any junior officers, what does the first officer/XO wear?I'm wondering if they're going with the idea of red being only for captains and above?
Their division color, like Spock.Hope not! Even if they ax the command division for any junior officers, what does the first officer/XO wear?
That only works if, like Spock, they are part of operations or science. Riker and Chakotay were both command-track officers.Their division color, like Spock.
So, they are either one. Operations could encompass many different duties. That only works if, like Spock, they are part of operations or science. Riker and Chakotay were both command-track officers.
That should really be made clear in all of their posts. Perhaps mods should get separate accounts, like Possum and PossumMODAre you speaking as a poster or as a moderator?

Hmh? It's judging her looks. Looks are fair game to be judged, just like everything else.
What's with the rank plates? Burnham gets four pips, but everybody else's is blank. Does this mean Burnham is actually a four-pip Admiral?

Sorry,
it looks like Ensign Tilly wears command red in the photo of this review: https://trekmovie.com/2021/01/07/re...ry-gets-connected-in-that-hope-is-you-part-2/
But in this video at time index 0:31 she wears blue:
Similarly, in the same video I thought I saw Ensign Tal standing portside on the bridge in a yellow operations uni, but they're next seen with their parents and having a blue science uniform. Am I seeing things wrong?
well, since Burnham is now captain Discovery is now missing a chief science officer...and who knows what her actual role is at this point.
