Spoilers Ah, the NEW uniforms...!

Saying a woman looks pregnant, meaning fat, is judging her for her looks. It's creepy and unacceptable.

Hmh? It's judging her looks. Looks are fair game to be judged, just like everything else.

What's with the rank plates? Burnham gets four pips, but everybody else's is blank. Does this mean Burnham is actually a four-pip Admiral?

The uniforms look cool but I'm not sure the grey goes well with Discovery's colours and lighting. I'm sure they'll adjust things a bit to make it all look super swish next season.

i wouldn’t mind if they put some color on discovery: always found those sets depressing.

Probably for the same reason that all Captains and above in S1 & 2 had extra gold shoulder accents on their uniforms going all the way up to the neck. It's an indication of seniority on the ship over the junior officers.

In the 32nd century, Captains and above just happen to have visible pips on the neck device in addition to the badge devices that everyone has denoting rank, as well as the extra shoulder boards, all of which are noticeably different from the Admiralty configurations.
