Agents of SHIELD: Season 6

Enjoyable table-setting episode if predictable (the episode title tipped its hand), but I'm sad this see Enoch leave. :wah:

At least they left the door open for his inevitable return, whether it's this season or the next.

Nice to see RDJ’s best pal, Anthony Michael Hall in a role. Hopefully this isn’t his only appearance.
I'm always happy to see Anthony Michael Hall in any role. Loved his Brat Pack roles as well as The Dead Zone (before it went down the tubes after Michael Piller got sick).

I watched The Dead Zone back in the day, so I got a big kick out of seeing Anthony Micheal Hall as Mr. Kitson.
I was disppapointed to see Enoch go, but the way they left things with him did leave it open for him to pop back up eventually.
I knew the moment they grabbed both Shrike that something bad was going to happen when they put them together. From what people have said it sounds like they are original to show, but now I'm wondering if their creator might be a villain from the comics.
I think I read somewhere that next week is the end of the Shrike story arc, so it will be interesting to see how many answers we get.

I was disappointed when they put them together. Even I saw that was a bad idea.
They should know better

The title of next week's episode seems to be "Collision Course" (part one), so probably at least another week after that.

Hello, I'm new to this forum, but I love Marvel Agents of Shield. It has been a long time since a television program made me literally yell out loud in reaction to what was happening. I'm confused. really confused. I missed something. so....Fitz died and Enoch took in into deep space? and Jemma's been looking for him...how does he not know that they were already married (right?) and that Deke is his grandson....They were all together when they undid the future earth being destroyed, and I guess I just got lost regarding Fitz from there. Can anybody fill me in on what I missed?

^Okay.... Last season, all of the main cast except Fitz was sent 70-odd years into the future (by Enoch, because of a prophecy) after Earth had been destroyed. Fitz eventually found Enoch and got him to put Fitz into cryogenic stasis until the rest of the team arrived in the future, whereupon he woke up and was reunited with them. He and they (and Deke) came back to the present and Fitz and Simmons got married, and the team saved the Earth, but the Fitz from the future died. But Jemma realized that the earlier version of Fitz (along with an earlier version of Enoch, whose future version had also died) was still in cryostasis out in space, and she went to find him.

So...what are the odds that the lady bringing Fitz and Simmons back to Earth is the "Creator" that "Sarge" is worried about?
I got the impression that she is after the monoliths. Sarge hinted that the "creator" is god-like. She doesn't fit the bill.

But didnt they also say that the monolith materials are related in some way to the Shrike Spikes?

They will converge at some point.

Was the person who hired FitzSimmons the boss person or does she work for someone?

Had the same thought the moment she said she was going to Earth. But I don't find it likely. There's some chance – the creator of the shrike is completely mysterious in nature, goal and methods – so it could be anyone.

Unless she's an avatar of some kind, or a godlike being with her powers hidden or suppressed (consider Thor in his first movie when he was banished to Earth). Still, I agree that she doesn't seem to be the creator.

Yeah, I don't see her being the Shrike's creator, if anything I'm thinking her search for the Monoliths could be what leads us into the next arc.

Somehow I think Fitch and Simmons are going to the God. They are returning to earth and I the time travel will connect with Sarge being 100 years old and him and his people being from space where they currently are. That or we will see the return of Talbot. Jason

Aw, Enoch is gone-- and he's not bluffing. At least he's not dead, so there is the chance he will return.

No more information about the origin of Sarge, but they did confirm that he's an exact genetic duplicate of Coulson-- which explains why he has the same Resting Smirk Face. And his friend with the ZZ Top beard has turned out to be a fire-breathing dragon, which raises the question of how he even has a beard. But SHIELD has now learned the hard lesson that they need Sarge to defeat the Shrikes (and whoever created them), so the new name of the show is Sarge In Charge.

Meanwhile, in another part of the galaxy, Fitz and Simmons had about as close a shave as they come and are now on the crew of a mysterious woman who wants to visit Earth to get her monoliths back. Does she also have any connection with the Shrikes? Is she the mysterious creator-- or does she have some connection with the mysterious creator? She said her last ship was destroyed with all hands lost. Was that Sarge's doing? Will the FitzSimmons plot and the Shrike plot and the Chronomopticon plots all converge? I don't know, I just hope we get the real Coulson back when the dust settles.

I wonder if the Shrike are being directed to utilize the life on a planet/planet itself in order to create a monoliths and the end result is planet destroyed and the powerful entity behind the shrike 'loots the corpse' of the planet and gets a monolith. Wonder if they know what kind they're getting or if each planet is a random lootbox.
