Agents of Shield - Season 4

Did anyone else want Mack to stay as Ghost Rider?

They can start with the same basic premise and take it someplace completely different, especially as an ongoing season arc...the "Age of Ultron" was two hours.

I always took "The Age of Ultron" as an ongoing event. It ends with the newer members of Avengers assembling, ties directly into Civil War with Tony thinking they need to be kept in checked, and it will tie into Black Panther later (with Doctor Strange and Thor: Ragnarok being outliers). The Age may very well lead to the next Avengers movie.

^ Well, at least something interesting would happen with Mack. Personally, I have nothing against his character, but I never really felt like he became part of the main team, he's just always there and some times stuff happens to him too. But that's just me. Does someone feel differently? I would really like your opinion.

I like Mack. I took issue with his attitude towards enhanced individuals at first, but he has grown as a character and moved past that. I also feel that he fills the hole left in the team first created by Ward's betrayal and then Tripp's death.

So last time we got Mac being possessed for the second and now we two Mays for the second time. Coincidence? Or are they intentionally creating a motif? ;)

Which is exactly why I don't expect Aida to become evil. More likely the other characters will assume that what she's doing is bad, but it'll turn out not to be.

I don't expect her to become a threat, period. After all, that would just be a rehash of the Ultron story, so what would be the point? As I said, I expect the other characters to assume she's going to be an Ultron-like threat, but to turn out to be wrong.

I'm eager for some spin now.

He's one of my favorite characters. For one thing, I always remember that he was the one who helped Fitz when he was recovering from brain damage, when all of his friends were awkwardly looking the other way. Also, I like how his long-suffering, grounded personality contrasts with all the comic-book chaos. And, of course, he's just a likeable guy.

Yo-Yo gets her own spinoff... sort of.
Nice. :bolian:

Agents keep on smashing it out of the park, it's such a jewel in the Marvel franchise, I hope Disney appreciates just how good it is and we get some sort of a 5th season leading into the Avengers 2018 film. Also Ghost Rider needs a spin-off but I would prefer it to be on Netflix than ABC.

Why does Ada/Aida (not sure on spelling) have to be a villian, shes so awesome :(

Agents of Shield: Ghost Rider will return as Agents of Shield: LMD. I'm actually liking this trend of the "mid-season finale" on the various shows making the hiatuses (hiatusi?) seem more natural.

Was anyone else distracted by the wobbly spears piercing Robbie?

Couple of nice nods to the comics this week. Coulson's line about "The last Ghost Rider", and Daisy's "Maybe in the comic book version" bit.

So it appears Coulson has encountered the previous Ghost Rider (presumably the Johnny Blaze version). Hopefully we'll see more on that sooner than later.

I'm liking this new direction the LMD's.

Looking forward to the Slingshot web series. Any idea how long the episodes are?

Yup, that bugged the hell out of me.

I would guess around five minutes apiece, making for around a half hour of new material and hopefully a bonus feature for a future DVD/Blu-Ray release, seeing as season three has yet to be released.

I think it's a cool idea. Much like the "One-Shots" of old.

ETA: On a side note, we won't have as long a wait in between episode as we have in the last couple of seasons as the show will be returning on January 10. However, that means that we are likely in for a number of break weeks in the second half of the season, ala the frustrating season one.
