This is just out of curiosity.
In what age bracket are you and how did you come to be a TOS fan?
Did you become a fan of TOS first from watching it either back in the day or simply before you watched any of the spinoffs? Or maybe you became a fan after seeing the '80s films first? Or perhaps you started with one of the spinoff series (TAS, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT) and then were curious about how Star Trek got going, checked out TOS and then became a fan? Or maybe you even came to TOS after first being exposed to the reboots? Were a fan of SF before or after you started watching Trek?
My own story is familiar enough. I'm presently 56 and started watching Star Trek in 1970 and have been a fan ever since. I've seen every version of spinoff and film and while there was some things I liked I still much prefer TOS. I was already interested in science fiction before TOS so it basically bolstered my prior interest which continues to the present.
Anyone else's story?
