Actors You'd Like to See in Trek

Morgan Freeman as a doctor. Or an admiral or a president or something.

I've said for a while Morgan Freeman would be PERFECT as the new voice for the Starfleet computers. Especially if he's giving vital information to Kirk and Spock in the form of exposition :techman:

Robert Carlyle. His acting range on OUAT is wide and diverse. His ST Character could be either heroic, villainous, or Gray, he could cover all of them so easily, but any character of his should have the visual physical flair that makes him currently so enjoyable in OUAT.

He was in Stargate universe.

I can certainly imagine a ship called USS Prime Universe where Judi Dench is the captain, some young dude is the first officer and Patrick Steward is the red shirt ensign who dies.

Since Simon Pegg's been announced as co-writer, I've had a few names pop in my head as to who I'd love to see based on his previous collaborations:

Timothy Dalton
Martin Freeman
Bill Nighy
Bill Hader (Which, I guess, technically is the voice of the Starfleet computers now, since he was the voice of the U.S.S. Vengeance computer)

Dalton as Picard grandfather
RPike as Chapel

Scott Bakula as Admiral Archer. Whether he's the same guy, some desiccated 150 year old in a wheelchair, or maybe been through an Interstellar-style time-warp. Or just a relation, part of some Kennedy/Bush-like family dynasty the Federation can't shake off.

So many actors you could envision in Star Trek really.

Tom Hanks almost happened as Zefram Cochrane didn't he? But I'd like to think James Cromwell would still be up for it, however that might occur.

Christopher Eccleston as Robert April, whatever he ended up doing in this universe.

weird how only a few are mentioning women including me. some females I would like to see in trek.

Angelina Jolie (she is a diverse actress)

Ann Hathaway

Jennifer Lawrence

Emma Watson

^ April is, IIRC, an Englishman. I don't see either of those two doing an English accent at all well. Especially not Ford.

It's funny that they're all models though.

Actually, they act for a living and some have won impressive awards for their work. And please tell me you don't think an actor should be discounted for being attractive.

I never thought an Englishman could do a convincing Sikh either...

No special reason why not, as being Sikh is a religious identity that can be voluntarily chosen.
