Actors You'd Like to See in Trek

Liam Neeson would make a fine Klingon (though I'm not overly keen to see them again). .
I can really see Neeson as a Cardassian.

Love to have Clint Eastwood, although I would much rather have him direct a Star Trek movie instead.

:)

^ Nah, I don't think so - I'd like to see Ferrell in Trek, but for some reason I actually wouldn't want him doing a comedy schtick. I wonder how he'd do if he played it straight.

That would be an interesting twist, make Harry Mudd a tortured, angsty, angry, 'bad guy'.

Meh, they have had enough of them.

Let Mudd be Mudd.

I never saw Mudd as a purely comedic character, especially in "Mudd's Women". I think he did have some angst and was maybe a little tortured (just a bit). There also has to be some menace to him, something to take seriously (in both his TOS episodes, he was not exactly dealing with trivial things), so he has to carry at least some dramatic weight to pull off the threat. That's why I kind of thought Ricky Gervais could work, though as someone posted above, Jack Black may be able to pull it off, too.

We've had Benedict Cumberbatch, so why not Martin Freeman? Perhaps as a Richard Daystrom-type flawed genius.

^ I would have LOVED to see Avery Brooks as Daystrom, but apparently he's too old (Daystrom is probably only about 40, if that, in the current Abrams timeframe). :(

Maybe Arnold Schwarzenegger as Kahless.
Arnold in Trek would be absolutely amazing; I've been saying for years that he should be in an Avatar or Aliens movie. And heck, at this point, Trek could probably get him! :p

Also, speaking of Mr. Craig, the correct answer is Ms. Weisz.

(The correct answer is pretty much always Ms. Weisz. :bolian:)

Back when TNG was in production there was an old rumor that Arnold was going to appear on the show, playing a Q. Supposedly, deLancie's Q would rally the Enterprise crew and they would face off in some kind of competition against Arnold and his friends.

That would probably have...not worked out too well.

Arnold as a MACO Colonel

That could work. I didn't even think of Arnold playing a MACO (or whatever they are called nowadays... I prefer "Starfleet Marines").

Or he could also play a government official, such as the President of the Federation.

Idris Elba. As pretty much anything but preferably a Captain.

Morgan Freeman as a doctor. Or an admiral or a president or something.

Edward James Olmos. (A world-weary Admitral in homage to NuBSG.)

Terry O'Quinn reprising his role from the pegasus for villain on star trek 3!

Keanu Reeves as Khan's brother Jahn.

Matthew McConaghuey as a chain smoking Starfleet investigator

I know this isn't really with in the spirit of the thread, but I've always though Dalton would have been perfect for Robert Picard.

Chris Pratt as Kirk's brother.
Liam Hemsworth would be better. Obviously he's a Hemsworth, but I think he looks more like Pine than his brother does.
