Actors You'd Like to See in Trek

We have a similar thread about actors that we WOULD HAVE liked in TOS in the TOS forum, but what about actors in the PRESENT that we'd like to see involved in FUTURE Trek projects?

I have one.

I'm sitting here on the computer and "Gone in 60 Seconds" happens to come on in whatever channel is on, and it occurs to me:

Delroy Lindo---This is one of the best and most underutilized actors working today IMO. I always see him in supporting roles, almost in the background, and he consistently shines through, making me wish he had larger roles in all his movies. The One, Gone in 60 Seconds, Heist, Domino, doesn't matter where I see him, he always steals the show.

Vaughn Armstrong, my favorite actor of all time, has done a ton of Trek - but never a Trek film, and no TOS. So I would love to see him do an Abramsverse film.

 For some reason, I thought DL had been in Trek already as a forehead-of-the-week.

Anyway, I totally agree.

I wouldn't mind seeing Sean Bean in a Trek movie, maybe be a captain or something. And hopefully he doesn't die by the end of it.

I'd also enjoy Scarlett Johansson. Last time I saw her in the Winter Soldier I thought she did a great job.

Robert Carlyle. His acting range on OUAT is wide and diverse. His ST Character could be either heroic, villainous, or Gray, he could cover all of them so easily, but any character of his should have the visual physical flair that makes him currently so enjoyable in OUAT.

Then what would be the point? ;)

Good one!

I would add:

Timothy Olyphant

Josh Brolin

Javier Bardem

Russell Crowe as the next rogue Admiral in a Hunt for Red October style screenplay with none of the regular cast and in different ships so anything can happen, but in the Star Trek universe. Oh wait, Chris Pine could play Kirk playing Jack Ryan. What a trip.

I both want to see Johnny Depp as Q, and am certain I don't want to see Q in the Abramsverse, at the same time. Life is confusing.

Can we go crazy?

Scarlett Johansson as the voice of the computer villain (VOY: Dreadnought? I don't know)
David Tenant, Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi as Q (not the Picard's Q) and Trelane's parents

Just off the top of my head.

John Hurt
Samuel L. Jackson
David Tennant
Christopher Lee
Hayley Atwell
Sigourney Weaver

Jessica Chastain, Amy Adams, Scarlett Johanson (in her best Natasha Romanoff look), Karen Gillian...just because.
