Tom Hardy as Picard in Star Trek XII: The Next Next Generation

Anyone else on board for this idea? Cause I am SO down.

I just need some ideas for filling in the cast...

Tom Welling as William "babyface" Riker.
Kristen Kruek as Deanna Troi.

(Why break up a good couple? And they have sexual tension and angst down pat)

Shirley Manson as Beverly McCrusher. (That would cater to Manson's accent and make her an even better doctor. All great space doctors have names that start with "McC")

Ice Cube as Lt. Worf.
That kid from Episode I as Acting Ensign Wesley McCrusher.

I would say Wil Smith as Geordi, but Wil Smith is way too interesting to be Geordi, so I'm going with...

Reggie Bush as Lt. Geordi LaForge.
Paris Hilton as Lt. Tasha Yar.
Wanda Sykes as Guinan.

And, last but not least...

Steven Carrel as Lt. Data.

Any alternate suggestions? Cause I think this could be the best Trek yet, from what I see so far!

Re: Tom Hardy as Picard in Star Trek XII: The Next Next Generation

It should be entirely cast with midgets.

Re: Tom Hardy as Picard in Star Trek XII: The Next Next Generation

There should also be a new character.... perhaps a transporter accident melding Tuvok, Neelix, and Ro Laren?

Re: Tom Hardy as Picard in Star Trek XII: The Next Next Generation

What no TITS yet?

Re: What actors / characters / plots do you want to see in Star Trek X

Jack Black as Harry Mudd
Johnny Depp as Trelane

Who needs a script?

Re: How they Should Go About Trek XII

No mini-skirts?!?!! I s this guy insane or just gay? Listen, last weekend at KhanCon here in Vancouver an Orion dancer told me she was supremely happy that they returned to the sexy crew look. Who would want to wear a nerdy pants suit like on TNG (first season excepted) and who would want to see it?!!?!??!?!?!??!?!?!?

Dax in the sequel?

I was just thinking: you know, it might be fun to have Dax in the sequel as a secondaryt character. This would be either Emony or Audrid Dax (The lives of Dax has McCoy 18 years old when he has a romance with Emony, meaning she was Dax's host until at least 2245, and it has a story where Audrid Dax meets captain Pike, meaning she was Dax's host since at least 2264. 2258 (The year of Trek XI) falls between those dates, so it could be either of them.

Re: Dax in the sequel?

Only if its the guy with the feet too odd to be an assassin. He could be nuChekov's comedy sidekick. If titScotty get's his own midget alien, nuChekov should have his own grotesque alien too.

I really don't mean to offend you, and I know we all have our favorite characters from across the franchise (I always liked LaForge, for instance), but I honestly hope that for Star Trek 2011, Abrams and Co. knock it off with the easter eggs and cameos

Why? Because, having seen Star Trek twice, and taken the time to digest it fully, I believe that, despite its many flaws, it was an excellent re-boot story that effectively introduced the Alternate Universe, and I hope now that the "stage is set", that the next film focuses 100 % on the new characters

The whole metaverse/multiverse concept is very comic bookish, which is fine because I love comics, but it has served its purpose. This new Trek film series is not a comic book, so we don't need to watch each film looking for a cameo or crossover appearance, we need to get more character development, a few more 'splosions, and hopefully at least one scene where "everybody sits around a long table endlessly debating interstellar diplomacy until you wish they were dead".

So please, no Dax, no LaForge, no more Spock Prime, and no goddamn William Tiberius Shatner! :)

Re: Dax in the sequel?

a subsequnt Dax (Kurzon) is much respected of the Klingons in DS9 so it would be interesting to see earlier incarnations of the Dax on the big screen. Not to mention how fascinating the whole joined thing is. Sharing a consciousness with another being figures largely in a lot of early TrekLit and general sci-fi lit. The Lives of Dax was an excellent read too.

Re: Dax in the sequel?

I don't care whether we see the Trill, but I wouldn't mind seeing Crewman Dax with the webbed feet from "Star Trek VI" again ...

I think they should make more of an effort to use familiar aliens, such as Andorians, Tellarites, Orions, Klingons, and Cardassians.

All those random "Star Wars Cantina" aliens in this movie could just as easily have been Denobulans or Lurians or Andorians or Deltans.

Why invent new aliens, while ignoring all the interesting races from the Trek canon?
