Actors/actresses that you would like to see in Trek

Ed Norton is one of our best working actors and his career has sadly slumped to the point where I could see him doing TV. Would be a great pick for a ST Captain on a future series and having a legit great actor in the lead just opens it up for you to do so many more things as with Stewart on TNG.

Maybe too big of a Star for it (but a lot of people are just listing A-listers) but Natalie Portman tapping into the space marine energy she had in Annihilation to play a Trek captain could be fantastic. Plus she'd get to do the Trek/Wars double. Would probably have to be a movie or a "special guest star" recurring role like Yeoh, though.

I'd love to see Daniel Dae Kim return to Trek, but only as a Captain/show lead. The man is an incredibly talented actor who is constantly relegated to second fiddle despite having huge leading man potential. It drives me crazy.

He's certainly charismatic and handsome enough.

No offense meant to John Cho, but he never had the screen presence of Takei. Kim absolutely has that same leading man presence. So if they ever wanted to do a Sulu centered spin off, or even a movie, you could do a lot worse than DDK.

I will mention an example from the Big Bang Theory, in the episode The Hot Troll Deviation. Good chemistry between Katee Sackhoff and George Takei, which was evident in the following interview.
