Actor spotting

Marc Alaimo is the voice of "Reverend Ray" on some video game (sorry, the name of it escapes me); Harris Yulin ("Marritza") in Arthur Miller's play, "Finishing the Picture" at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago a few years back.

I was watching Quantum Leap last night and I saw the actor who played Admiral Paris on VOY, Richard Herd. He was in an episode called "Future Boy".

He was also a recurring character on Seinfeld as Mr. Wilhelm, George's boss on the Yankees.

I caught Tango & Cash on TV last night and what do you know! Marc Alaimo was in it! I had probably not watched DS9 yet when I first saw Tango & Cash.

Marc Alaimo had a whole career playing baddies before he landed the role of Best Baddie Ever on DS9. I must admit that before DS9, I never really noticed him either, but I've noticed him since, of course. Can't really imagine why I didn't the first time around, but then again, his roles tended to be pretty routine. But I used to love Hill Street Blues, which was a really good show, and he was apparently on there eight times (not sure if he was a baddie or not)...and I don't remember him. Ah, well.

I have to admit that I was surprised to see Tim Russ in Die Hard 4.0 as well as Robert Beltran being Chuck Norris' sidekick in a film from 1983 called Lone Wolf McQuade. However, what was more memorable about the latter was the dress sense of the villain, which was a golfer's jumper!

Titus Welliver (Maxwell Burke on VOY's 'Equinox') is an evil mo-fo on 'Deadwood'. On the other hand, Brad Dourif (VOY's Lon Suder) portrays a doctor, trying to 'do the right thing' on the same show.

I understand Alice Krige (ST:FC's Borg Queen) portrays a madam later on in the show. (Note: I've just ended the 1st season).

***

In other news: Michael Dorn (Mr. Woof) did a voice on 'Wing Commander Academy.'

Andreas Katsulas played a gangster in "Next of Kin" with Liam Neeson, Bill Paxton, and Patrick Swayze playing brothers from the bayou, Swayze now a cop in Chicago.

Watching the funny/somewhat cheesy 1970s film with Jim Brown called 'Slaughter.'

One of the main henchmen is played by the actor (I don't know his name) in 'The Cage'/'The Menagerie' who was in Pike's Orion girl fantasy. The guy who said, 'Nice place you have here, Pike.'

I hope I can do this.

(I think the minimum is two, if one is to post after his or her previous post).

Anywho, I just finished 'Duel at Diablo' with James Garner and Sidney Poitier...(released in 1966, where Poitier seems to be in the lead during the second half of the film, and takes charge...which is interesting given the time of the film. Moreover, at the time, Poitier was like the only major black star at the time; but his part was pretty interesting).

Two actors from Trek were in the film:

John Crawford (who passed away this year in September!) portrayed a villainous individual. We remember him as Commissioner Faris from 'Galileo Seven'...

John Hoyt was in 'red-face' as an Apache Chief...

I've rewatching some Buffy season 3 episodes, and I spotted Dominic Keating in a smallish role in "Helpless" and Vaughn Armstrong in a very small role in "The Zeppo" (he plays a cop and is in just one scene).

Louise Sorel (Rayna Kapec) was on Law & Order once as a defense attorney. As was Donna Murphy (Anij).

Louise Sorel came back to days of our lives (the soap) not too long ago.

John De Lanci played Eugene on Days too.:)

Heck the actor that played Nelix was on days about 2 months ago. He was only on it for about five minutes.

Jonathan Frakes was on North and South, the mini series. so was Mary Crosby. They played husband and wife. Mary Crosby is in book 2

I saw Elisha Cook as a busboy in 'Ball of Fire' (1941)...and will be seeing Alexander Siddig, starring in 'Cairo Time' with actress Patricia Clarkson.

I was channel surfing last night, and on TCM I ran across a so-bad-it's-funny early 70s monster movie called Night Of The Lepus. Purely by chance, I hit a scene that had both Paul Fix and DeForest Kelley in it.

Whenever I watch Apollo 13, I always get a kick out of seeing Max Grodenchik without all his Rom makeup.
