Abrams Interview with LA Times - 1/29

Brannon Braga probably has a shitload of worthless, jealous advice he wants to give to J.J. but doesn't want the bad press that would get generated if he nosed into the franchise's new honchos' and hierarchy's business. He and Berman were asked to not participate/fired before XI went into preproduction for reasons.

 That's certainly a thorough fabrication, but it's based on nothing other than possibly resentment.

If there's any "jealousy" involved here, it ain't coming from Hollywood.

My god, at some point you'ld think they'd at least find fifteen minutes to listen to the man - BB. Had Berman listened to him they'd probably be no Nemisis flop that Berman was sure would be a hit.

Both men made mistakes during that movie. Maybe Berman was more to blame for the failure than Brannon was that time around, but there are legitimate reasons many Trekkers came to grow weary of their leadership and direction in the late 90s and during this past decade. They fell into lazy ruts and had fewer and fewer good ideas as the years passed.

I think once you're a thinker with ideas you're always one as long as you can recharge your batteries. Brannon ran on AA's.

Is there really enough continuous nacelle gossip to fill a magazine every month?

I feel like it would likely be "Nacelles Quarterly".

as long as they keep the fold-out centrefold picture

But then we all couldn't have the mental picture of some fat, old twit beating off to the magazine, whispering, "Oh, your nacelle cap is waaaay too bright, you bad widdle boy. Daddy 'pank!"

Joe, word painter

:guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

Oh, my...

Edit:
Someone over at the RPF took a few minutes and exercised a little imagination and came up with a picture of how a Nacelles Monthly cover might look.

Brilliant!

Again

Just as a reiterated point of clarification: Brannon Braga was not involved in Nemesis in any way.

But, but, Berman was involved!! Braga was pulling the strings all along, ZOMG!!!

If only Ira Steven Behr had been involved with more than just DS9. (*Wistful eyes batting into the sky*)
