But I can't find one that doesn't have you in it as well.
Of course ab exercises directly affect the abs. Abs are muscles.You do realize that there aren't any specialized exercises that will effect just one portion of the body, right?
Any amount of exercise will result in the fat to be distributed to the areas where the brain thinks it's necessary.
Targeted exercises have little to no effect on areas you want to be affected.
I'm not saying they won't have any effect on the body ... no ... but you won't really be able to affect the abs themselves like that.
Crunches are the most popular ab exercise ...
You could also do various cardiovascular exercises such as swimming or running.
Those 2 will have the most effect on your body/muscles in general.
The Dreaded "Plank" Position can do wonders.

Pull your abdomen in towards your spine wen you do it, and hold the position.
