A USS Kelvin Complaint Nobody's Made Yet...

But then the earliest Starfleet starships like Archer's Enterprise had a "0" before the digit in their hull number. Sure, their numbers were so low(practically zero)that it helped fill out space on the hulls and looked more even and congruent with a two-letter prefix like "NX", but this won't be the first time we've seen a Starfleet vessel with a "0" preceding the other numbers in its registry.

The NX-01 went to warp with just one nacelle once.....
Yah!..,but since so many continuity ''Fascists'':shifty: say ENTERPRISE didn't happen, Any ''facts'' or ''events'' from that show is unfortunately tossed out the ''Air-lock'':(

Everyone who's run Paramount's Star Trek except Roddenberry - starting with Bennett - has ignored whatever of his "rules" they chose and generally for the better.

Your answer is quick...but wrong.

Y'know, if GR had even known which direction was supposed to be "up" on the Enterprise his opinions on starship design would be at least a little bit interesting - Jefferies, the guy who actually designed it, even had to show him that.

I have an idea those numbers were pulled out of a hat, but that's only a guess. ;)


Since the resurrection hasn't prompted a great deal of new discussion of the original topic, and the question of "What is the oldest thread ever necro'd?" is probably not definitively answerable, I'll just close this before we get too deep into "Uh-uh!", "Yuh-huh!" quick-answer territory. :)
