A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones Spoiler-Filled Discussion

Ah, that'll probably be the one that starts Theon's storyline (if we don't see Robb letting him go earlier).

They should have gotten Robbie Coltrane for Damphair, most pictures of him make him look like Hagrid anyways.

Quite a few actors from Harry Potter are/were in Thrones...

The actor who played Filch (David Bradley?) was Walder Frey.

Natalia Tena (Tonks) is Osha.

Julian Glover (Pycelle) was the voice of Aragog in The Chamber of Secrets.

The actor who played Will (the guy who Ned beheads) played a Slytherin student in Prisoner of Azkaban. He hands out a lot with Draco in that one.

Finally, Lady Stark herself Michelle Fairley had a blink-and-you-miss it cameo as Hermione's mother in the first Deathly Hallows movie.

My younger brother finally started watching the show, and he blew through the whole season in a couple of days.

Then somebody went and spoiled him on the red wedding. I was so happy that I could share this with him, and now I'm totally pissed that someone gave away the biggest and most shocking event in the whole series. Oh well. As he put it, he knew the end of Fight Club before he saw it, and still thought it was awesome.

Poor guy. That would suck to know that ahead of time. I knew a betrayel was going to happen, I just didn't expect it to be at the wedding.

^^Yikes, that would be a candidate for the old thread I made about "what's the worst you've ever been spoiled?" :vulcan:

IGN has a preview online now for the upcoming free-to-play, browser-based, PVP-focused MMO, which will be set shortly after the death of Ned Stark.

That sounds pretty awful actually. The books and show are so enthralling because of the story and the characters. MMOs are notoriously bad for both. A giant king of the hill match has little potential for greatness IMO.

Here's a new character profile of Dany:

Also, the title for the fourth episode has been revealed: "Garden of Bones".

An Australian webpage has also revealed what are likely the titles for the fifth and sixth episodes: "The Ghost of Harrenhal" and "The Old Gods and the New".

A couple of questions about the books:
Has anyone revealed what exactly the relationship is between modern day Earth and the world of ASoIaF?
How much time have they covered by the end of ADwD?

I wonder if they'll have to speed that up for the show? If they start using multiple seasons per book it'll be hard to ignore the kids aging. Most of the younger kids seem to be at the age where you start changing fast.
