A Question About Quantum of Solace: MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS

So I finally got round to watching Quantum of Solace.

Really enjoyed it but...

Totally confused about the end scene with Vesper's boyfriend???

Can anyone shed any light... who was he, what was his part in the story, what happened, what did it mean re Vesper, blah blah blah.

Even went back to watch scenes that might help us understand what was going on???

Thanks :techman:

Vespers boyfriend was a Quantum Agent, a male version of the honey trap. A man adept at making women working in sensitive jobs fall in lvoe with him, when he would appear to be kidnapped and the woman would be forced to betray her employers to keep him safe. Basically he was pulling the same trick on Corrine (The Canadian secret service agent at the end of QoS)

He's probably quite low level within Quantum, but from Bond's perspective probably the person most responsible for Vesper's death.

Which makes it all the more meaningful that Bond didn't execute him.

^ How on earth did you get all that from watching the film!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was so confused about that :techman:

^ It really helps to have seen Casino Royale shortly before QOS or at least have a good recollection of its events. Given that this was the first Bond movie that was an out and out sequel to its predecessor (as oppose to being the next movie in the series), they probably went a little too far in tying the two movies together and made enjoyment of one a little too dependent on the other.
