A Medical Update!

It's been several months since the last one...Rao...it might have been before Christmas since I posted last. Just wanted to let you guys know whom are already aware of my ails that everything has been okay lately. My pelvis is still twisting and I have a gait (if that's the right term) of about two centimeters now as my right pelvis is sliding upwards and the left side is jammed downwards. Chronic back pain. My foot is doing really well though. It occasionally swells when I use it too much but otherwise it's pretty good. Started going to the gym a few months ago and lost up to twenty pounds. Starting to work on my diet now (although my posts in the eating/drinking thread probably don't reflect that lol).

Still in a lot of pain though thanks to the chronic pain. I'm STILL waiting to be approved for physio. Been taking Tylenol 3 for pain on and off the last several months. Mostly just use ibuprofen which helps wonders with the swelling.

My best wishes for your recovery, Admiral Young. I understand chronic pain (I have fibromyalgia, diabetes and other physical problems.)

Best wishes with the diet and the gym -- 20 pounds is a great start! I'm sorry you have to deal with so much pain.

I was wondering when you would post another update! I'm glad to hear that things are doing at least okay for now (I hope your other issues "down there" have been resolved as well), but sorry to hear about the chronic pain that you have been experiencing. It sounds like you are making some great progress in your life though, with the weight loss and diet. Keep it up!

Yeah, we haven't had one of these threads in a while. I'm glad things are going well, but sorry that you've still got some outstanding issues. I hope they approve that physio for you; chronic pain can be really debilitating. Do you have any other options to fall back on, like acupuncture or massage therapy.

^ I'm currently investigating those. The physio I'm trying to get approval for though is certified in both of those as well and has handled my parents lol. It's just the Ministry that has been a pain to deal with as I go through due process. Um...my issues "down there" as it were have been pretty great now lol. It did go chronic so I still have the feeling of the symptoms but not the actual symptoms. Suffice it to say I keep it extremely clean!!
