Is that some sort of incredibly unsubtle hint? The sort of hint even I can figure out???

This site will tell you pretty much everything. Thanks to the vagaries of Australian television I've only seen the Diana Rigg episodes (which are usually considered the best of the lot) and The New Avengers, which isn't bad either. Vash, if you like a show with style and wit, which assumes the viewer is intelligent and likes a bit of everything in a show...this will work for you. It's IMHO the ultimate spy series...and slightly surreal as well.

More than that I will not say.


One other thing: Avoid the movie like the plague. From all accounts it's terrible, and I'm not surprised. The series had a unique atmosphere, and remarkable chemistry between the leads - the sort of thing no remake could hope to emulate.

The Diana Rigg episodes were undoubtedly the best. The chemistry between her and Steed (the actors name escapes me) was phenomenal.

It's very humorous, but subtle and there are many suspenseful moments as well.

Well, I do enjoy good spy stuff. I'm a huge fan of David Morrell novels, for example. So maybe this would be a good show for me to see???

Is the show funny? Or is it a serious spy show?

Now I'm pretty interested!

And is there any tie-in with The Prisoner? Or is it just that A&E packages them both for U.S. distribution so the boxes look similar?

It's a bit of both - more serious, but also with a light side. A toned down James Bond mix.

Well, she can't enjoy good spy stuff, too much. I mean we only made it through 40 minutes of a Bond flick before we stopped watching it.

Of course, it's entirely possible she might have been the slightest bit distracted by something. My memory's really kind of hazy there for a bit after she threw me down on the couch.

Well I watched some Farscape over the last couple of days and I'm still loving it. I know some people that S4 was a little weak, but so far I've liked a it. True, it did have a couple of slower eps at the beginning, but hey, so did S2. Anyway, I watched the "Unrealized Reality", "Kansas" and "Terra Firma" three-parter and I really loved it.
The first ep was just really wacky fun and it was great to see Zhaan and Crais again.
"Kansas" was just so frelling funny. All the scenes with the cops were hilarious. I loved the bit where John was going crazy over getting to drink milk again. And man Aeryn looked good.
"Terra Firma" was also great. John being back, seeing his family and all that was just awesome stuff. And I absolutely loved it, after that weird creature that could cloak trashed John's home, when Aeryn said "merry frelling christmas". That was just priceless.

After that I also watched "Twice Shy" which was pretty good. The whole arachnid thingy was sort of boring, though it did have some funny parts like Chiana hitting D'Argo. And I really can't wait to see what's gonna happen next with Scorpy. I knew the bugger was up to something.

Wow, you sure used a lot of s in that post! Glad you're continuing to enjoy the series. I definitely need to go through S4 again, as I've only seen each ep once; maybe I'll like it more after that.

^ I do like my smileys. And yeah, I really do think that so far it's been a good season. Not as good as S3, but still a lot of fun. I've only got 8 episodes left, but hey, the mini series is airing soon.

Yeah...we'll have to continue watching that some day. I really need to see the ending.

Oh I didnt want to mention this by she could see my picture over your shoulder. She was getting distracted. She didnt throw you down on the couch, she hit you over the head with a bottle.

Ahh, now it all makes sense. She was using me to get to you the entire time!! It's just so crystal clear. Well, when she runs me over to get to you during the early goings of Stripes, you will insist that she finishes watching it with you, won't you?

Bigfoot, that Kansas, Terra Firma 3-parter was a great one, IMO. Not necessarily the classic action/suspense 'Scape, but it offered a lot of wackiness and fun and I quite enjoyed it myself. I could definitely stand to watch that again.

Yeah I agree. It wasn't as epic as some of the other eps (Into The Lion's Den springs to mind), but it was still great.
