I posted this in the Commodore's Lounge, and wanted to post it here as well.

I'm taking a sabbatical from the Trek BBS. I'm drained of things to say any longer, and my thoughts are directed entirely toward the script I'm writing - a science fiction story set in the year 2521 - Hope's End (Cheap plug!). It's something I hope to one day use as a television pilot to a much larger tale.

I start classes at Humber College for Film & Television on Tuesday. I think it might be best if I phased back my participation on the message board until I've readjusted myself to my new school program.

I'll be back though, hopefully pretty soon. This place has just gotten a little too personal lately, and I need to take a breather. I just require some time, perhaps a few weeks or so to let clearer thoughts prevail... most importantly to me, I want to make the screenplay I'm working on my best ever.

I plan to do some lurking to keep an eye on the message board that made me a legend all across the internet (Right?) and what not. I'll continue using instant messenger programs, if anyone wants to get in touch with me. Infact, I'd encourage you too, if you so desire.

The Evil Dead, please don't stay away long, okay?

You will be sorely missed around here!

I mean, who will I discuss The X-Files with when I start watching season 6?????

Anyway...sometimes a break is good...but I hope that you will check in with us - especially the folks in this thread! You are part of this gang...and we will miss you!

Hugs!

Search me. I sent ymf out to buy it ages ago...

You guys are stressin' me out here! I mean, how fu*kin' hard can it BE????

Lemme turn on some NPR to try and chill out. :p And bring me my Mother Jones out of the mens room!

Chill babe. Coffee is here.

(The Search function is both a blessing, and a curse...)

Good luck to The Evil Dead….aka Kevin on you quest for knowledge at Humber College. That’s a well thought out plan….take a break from posting while you get your college act together…..props to all those that are so inclined to be more mission oriented than the rest of us.

Well, I finally saw Hero today, and I was pretty impressed. The fight choreography was excellent, and I was thankful they didn't overdo the "flying" moves, like I thought CTHD did. The cinematography was also breathtaking; I don't know how this didn't win the Oscar a couple years ago (was it even nominated?!).

About the only thing I wished the film had was a little more meat in the story department, but being a rather mythical tale I suppose some simplicity was in order. Definitely worth seeing! :)

Well I've already started S4 of Farscape yesterday. So I guess I should first say that I loved the "Into the Lion's Den" two-parter. The whole thing just kicked ass. I thought "Dog With Two Bones" was also a great ep, but I absolutely cannot stand Granny. She is just so frelling annoying. After that I watched "Crichton Kicks" which was a bit on the boring side. Sputnik, or whatever her name is, is a bit annoying though. Though honestly, so was Jool when we first met her and she's grown on me.

The "What Was Lost" two-parter was pretty good, nothing special though. I've actually come to a conclusion: I MISS AERYN!!! Her and John are definately my favourite characters on the show (after that it's a tie between buckweed, pip and big D) and I have to say that her absense in the last three eps has been a pain in the ass. I already missed her in some of the eps in S3 where she's on Talyn and the ep takes place solely on Moya. Anyway, I hope she'll be back soon. Her dynamic with John is just awesome.

I've only got 19 eps of this amazing show left, which is kinda sad cos the show's so damn good. But hey, at least we get the mini in a month or so. :D

I personally feel that S4 is the weakest season, but there are some good eps to be found. The early eps aren't the greatest, to be sure, though for some reason I thought the "1812" DRD was great! Sorta reminds me of Cast Away's "Wilson"! :D

I wonder if it'll appear in the miniseries...

^ Yeah I love the 1812 DRD. :D

I just watched two more eps, "Lava's a Many Splendored Thing" and "Promises". The first one was ok, nothing special, it did have a couple of really funny parts though. :) I liked "Promises" a lot more though. It's always fun to see Scorpy and yay, Aeryn is back!

I think so too, BigFoot! I *love* this two-parter. One of the best in all of scifi, IMO.

That whole destruction of the command carrier was just awesome - and Scorpy on those stairs with all that water coming down - what a great piece of cinematography!

Great stuff there!

IMO, Farscape doesn't get any better than this. :D

As for myself, I've been watching B5 season 4 these days. I'm up to episode 8 of season 4...the one where Sheridan allows the reporters to come aboard and gets screwed with their bogus reporting. I think it's called Illusions of Truth, but I can't remember for sure...unlike with DS9, I have difficulty remembering the B5 episodes by title. I know what happens...I just can never remember the episode names.

I haven't gotten any further on The X-Files - I've finished season 5 but haven't gotten to the movie yet. I need to do that this week, cus I want to continue with that show.

I simply LOVE the music during those sections, so much so that I had to hunt down some MP3s of it! :D I never thought that I'd feel sorry for ol' Scorpy, but I sure did during that episode. Just the way he walked through the ruins of his efforts without saying a word, and his last words with Crichton, almost (I stress "almost" :)) made me get misty!

Anyway, I've recently found myself watching a lot of the show Nip/Tuck. Even though the show's more than a bit soap-opera-ish, and it's unpleasant to watch some of the plastic surgery scenes, the characters and stories are pretty interesting. I was cracking up when I saw the promo for the season finale, since apparently JOAN RIVERS is guest-starring! I almost (again stressing "almost") have a little respect for her now.

^ Yeah, Monty....I love that music too! It fits perfectly!

Well, last night I went crazy in Media Play. :p

I bought the following:

Alias season 3
Angel season 4
Will and Grace season 3
Mork and Mindy season 1
Magnum P.I. season 1
My Favorite Martian season 1

I have absolutely *no* idea when I'm gonna have time to *watch* all this stuff...but it's there when I get to it, anyway!

Eh...the bill was somewhere in the $250 range. I can't remember for sure though. I've got money in the bank these days, so I just treated myself. ;)

Good stuff. :D I definately plan to get Alias S3 and Angel S4 at some point. I'll probably get Angel S4 as soon as I get back to Canada. :)

^ Yeah...I was really looking forward to those coming out.

Only one more season of Buffy and Angel now...thank goodness. I'm getting tired of waiting for those.

I wish the following would come out soon:

Homicide: Life on the Street - season 5
The Sopranos - season 5
Sex and the City - season 6.2

I want to finish those last two series up before......Seinfeld begins! :D

Yeah it's going to be nice to have all of Buffy and Angel. :) And hey, Stargate S7 is coming out soon I believe.

^ Yeah...I know. It will be good to get caught up with that one too. Although there will be more to buy! ;)

When Buffy and Angel finish though, I'll have most of my favorite shows complete on DVD:

1. DS9
2. B5
3. Buffy
5. Farscape
6. Angel
7. The X-Files

Not bad, eh? ;)

^ Not bad at all. :D I Still need to get S1 and S5 of Babylon 5. And I'd love to get Farscape, but it's so damn expensive.
