^ Are you going to Dragoncon???

I wish I was going...but don't have anyone to go with. :(

It's gonna be good - espeically for you Firefly types! ;)

/\

Well, somebody has to work and get all the flying benefits!! Sheesh! ;)

I had contemplated attending if I'd gotten the weekend off, but I didn't see all that many guests for DragonCon that I was all that interested in this year. Maybe next time.

I'm having lots of fun re-watching B5 season 4 again. Oooooo!!!!

Yep. I'm going with my best friend and her husband. They live in Snellville, so we're going to make a weekend of it. I've never been before, but between the Browncoats and Anne McCaffrey, I just couldn't resist it this year. :D

Well I watched some more Farscape in the last two days. First up was the "Self Inflicted Wounds" two-parter which was really really great. All the character interaction was just amazing. :) And the second half of part two was just... absolutely gut-wrenching. I don't wanna spoil it for anyone, but there are only a couple of eps as sad as "Wait for the Wheel" (the second part of "Self Inflicted Wounds"): "The Visitor" from DS9, "Becoming" and "The Gift" from Buffy and "Shells" from Angel.

Anyway...after that I also watched "Different Destinations" which was good. It was a lot better then Timeline. :D Though that doesn't really say much, lol. I thought the ending was actually a big unexpected, but IMO a good decision by the writing staff.

I'm gonna go see King Arthur in a bit, so I gotta get ready now. :)

Glad you liked the eps! "Different Destinations" is one of my favorite episodes of the season. I got a real kick out of the Toy Story reference. :) It was only after I saw Scarface again that I realized what John meant when yelling "Tony Montana" while blowing away the soldiers. The ending rocked, too, like you said.

^ Great av buddy. :D

Anyway, I just got home from seeing King Arthur and I have to say that I really liked it. I loved how the audience really got to know him and his knights. Most of action was good, but the fight on the ice absolutely kicked ass. :D I'll definately be getting this movie on DVD.

Love the Paparazzi av, Montresor! Man you never cease to impress. I'm gonna have to learn some PhotoShop

BigFoot, I think yours is the first positive review I've heard of King Arthur. I missed it myself, but maybe I'll catch it as a rental.

Thanks! And most of my Photoshop "knowledge" comes from just messing around with buttons and options to see what happens, then I go from there.

Actually I read quite a lot of at least semi-positive comments about King Arthur in sf&f. And IMO it was definately better then a lot of the typical hollywood crap. Not that I'm always the best judge of that lol, I do have my guitly pleasures like Underworld and Chronicles of Riddick which both got mostly bad reviews. :)

Either way, I also watched The Day After Tomorrow yesterday. I thought that was a lot worse the King Arthur. The plot was just stupid, I did not give a rip about the characters and while some of the effects were good, some of them also sucked (the wolves).

I actually had a really fun day today. I went to Austria with my folks, we got a ton of stuff including a DVD player for my folks lol. :) I also got a ton of presents for my g/f and basically we had a fun day out.
And then in the afternoon I got to test drive a VW Touareg 2.5 TDI. That was fuuuun as Rom likes to put it. :) I drove it for over two hours and while I loved some aspects of it, I thought the suspension was way too hard (and I like it when it's hard). The interior kicked ass, leather, navigation, TV, DVD player, everything you'd want. :D I did think the engine was a bit on the weak side though. We've got the same one in our Audi A6, which isn't as heavy and it works with the engine a lot better. The acceleration in the VW just isn't what it should be. Anyway, I still loved the car, but I'd never get it, even if I could afford it, lol. :D

Heh!

I should get you guys in here to help me pick out my next vehicle.

Right now, I have a Jeep Cherokee which I really like...but it's getting old and I'm thinking of buying a new car soon.

But I really need help! :p

^Ensure that it is fuel efficient. Some of these hybrids are pretty good, although I hear they're hard to get hold of in the US.

^ And with that incredibly profound post, the DS9 forum mod mades 16,000 posts at last!

It only figures I'd be parroting The Onion.

I posted this in the Commodore's Lounge, and wanted to post it here as well.

I'm taking a sabbatical from the Trek BBS. I'm drained of things to say any longer, and my thoughts are directed entirely toward the script I'm writing - a science fiction story set in the year 2521 - Hope's End (Cheap plug!). It's something I hope to one day use as a television pilot to a much larger tale.

I start classes at Humber College for Film & Television on Tuesday. I think it might be best if I phased back my participation on the message board until I've readjusted myself to my new school program.

I'll be back though, hopefully pretty soon. This place has just gotten a little too personal lately, and I need to take a breather. I just require some time, perhaps a few weeks or so to let clearer thoughts prevail... most importantly to me, I want to make the screenplay I'm working on my best ever.

I plan to do some lurking to keep an eye on the message board that made me a legend all across the internet (Right?) and what not. I'll continue using instant messenger programs, if anyone wants to get in touch with me. Infact, I'd encourage you too, if you so desire.

EDIT: This is a reply to The Evil Dead's post:

Well good luck at school and you better be back. :) We're gonna miss you in here.

Congrats on the milestone Vash. :)

So I've watched a ton of Farscape today. I have to say the whole thingy where one ep is on board Talyn (sp?) with John #1 and then the next one is on board Moya with John #2 and so forth is quite interesting. I have to say that so far S3 has been absolutely amazing.

"Scratch 'N Sniff" was definately an interesting episode. :D While it wasn't really awesome it was still a lot of fun. :D

Now the "Infinite Possibilities" was amazing. The whole thing was so much fun and I have to say Crais really has grown on me. I'm still a little iffy about Stark though. As usual, I don't really wanna spoil the ep for people that haven't seen it, but yeah, even though I knew what was gonna happen at the end (I was spoiled a while ago :(), I still absolutely loved the whole thing. That last bit with Aeryn and John was just amazing and so damn gut-wrenching.

And the last ep I watched today was just.... well, one of the funniest and most original hours of TV ever. I'm talking about "Revenging Angel" which had me laughing through the whole thing. It was just so damn hilarious. :D

I'm hoping the Moya part of the crew will get together with the Talyn part of the crew soon. I did like the separation, but I'm starting to miss some of the character dynamic (Rygel-D'Argo especially). :)
