^ Yeah, that's the one. And thanks for the anwser. I was just curious. :)

$100?! That's a hell of a lot. Of course, it didn't stop me from paying over that for DS9. :o :p

And a quick question about B5. Is there something like universal translators on this show? Or is everyone just speaking English? I'm only asking because in one episode, the first officer (whose name escapes me at the moment) didn't want to speak about something in Hebrew because Sinclair didn't know that language.

It is mentioned a few times that since B5 is an earth run and sponsored installation, English is the "accepted" diplomatic language. Delenn makes a few comments during the show about having to learn English, for example.

Of course, this does not explain why Delenn speaks English during her meetings with the Grey Counsel...or why Londo speaks English when he visits Centauri Prime...or why G'Kar speaks English on Narn...or why.... :p

But like with the UT, as Garak would say, sometimes "it's best not to dwell on such minutia". :p

Yeah, sometimes they sell DVDs for the "normal" prices. Like sometimes they'll have Angel of Buffy sets for the "normal" price of about $83 CDN, even thought you can usually get them for around $55 to $60 CDN.

Yeah, Garak is a smart smart man. :D

Well, I'm finally gonna go see Van Helsing tonight. :D I've had three midterms in the last couple of days, so I've been really busy, but now I have time. :) I'm really looking forward to it, me and my g/f are gonna go with a couple of friends, it should be entertaining.

 I suppose.... :p

Have fun BigFoot! I hope you did okay on your exams. :)

^ Thanx man. :) I already got the results from the one I took on wednesday (C++) and I got an A on that. And I know I did pretty god on the other two (software engineering and Visual Basic), the VB one was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO easy, it was 30 multiple choice questions which were almost trivial. It took me 7 minutes to finish the test, lol. :)

Well guys...I'm going to Chicago for a few days...I'm leaving in the morning and won't be back until Wednesday.

I'm going to visit Top41, go to a Buffy convention, and see Troy (on Monday night). Hope to also meet a few other board members and mods. :)

Should be a good time. :)

Jammer will be watchin' the place more than usual while I'm gone. But I'll have a full report featuring David Boreanaz and Orlando Bloom when I get back. :D

Hugs to you all!

^ Speak for yourself.

;P

Anyway, I finally got to see Van Helsing last night. I thought it was a fun movie, is was soooo hokey and some of the dialog was pretty bad, but still, if was a fun flick. I have to say that my favourite character was probably Carl (David Wenham as Faramir from LOTR). I liked Kate Beckinsale's Anna aswell (and she looked yummy, as usual), Hugh Jackman did a decent job, but the actor that played Dracula was just...UGH! Anyway...I don't wanna get into spoiler territory here. I still enjoyed the movie, certain parts of the plot were actually pretty interesting, others were pretty much cringe-worthy. I'll still most likely get it on DVD though, lol. :)

Is Vash gone yet? When the mod's away...

...ah who am I kiddin? I ain't gonna do nuthin

I plan to see Van Helsing soon, so thanks for the report BigFoot. I figured on it being pretty campy because it's from the makers of The Mummy and The Mummy Returns, both of which I thought were extremely corny. Good fx tho. I'm sure Van Helsing will be fun, but I'll probably see Man on Fire and Troy first. I need to play catchup here ;)

*sniffle*

I finally finished Babylon 5 this weekend. Anybody got a hankie? Man, that was wonderful.

WORTH EVERY MINUTE AND EVERY PENNY.

Only the best for my patrons ;)

I'm glad to hear such high praise for B5 around here. My college roommate tried to get me to watch the show during it's original run, but after a few eps I just didn't wanna. I guess he may have had a point after all.

Well, heck, guess I'll put it higher up on my "To See" list ;) What's everyone watching on DVD these days?? Personally, I'm going through Firefly for the umpteenth time  along with randomly choosing DS9 eps to watch. Just saw "Explorers" & "Family Business" to see the evolution of Sisko's goatee ;) and "Facets" to see the fun fun lives of Dax. I'll have to read the book (Lives of Dax) sometime after watching this ep & see if I can see the characters as portrayed by this ep.

Actually, I'm on a bit of a lull. I rented In America last night, which was delightful (and has a buddy of mine in a bit part - the passenger-side immigration officer in the very beginning ;)).

Other than that, well, I'm going on vacation soon, so I probably won't do any more heavy tv watching until I get back.

Currently I'm having fun playing with my new toy - Nomad Zen Xtra 40GB. (Well, that link goes to the 30GB, so just tack on more space in your head.)

^Cool! I've been wanting one of those high-Gb music players for a while now. This one seems pretty neat. I was thinking about getting one a while back that had a small color screen for video on it. Alas, the money just wasn't right yet. Maybe soon

I'm not watching anything on DVD right now, but I'm probably going to pick up season 1 of B5 next time I'm in the city (which will probably be Friday - gotta avoid all the cottagers you know  ;)).

:D

I've still been watching Stargate. I watched the first 6 seasons on DVD and now I just started S7 about a week ago. I also watch some Firefly every once in a while. :)
I forgot, have you read The Lives of Dax before? IMO it's a delightful book, one of my favourite Trek books actually. :)
