We all know about Gene Roddenberry's "audio cameo" in "Charlie X", where he "plays" the galley chief complaining about "real turkeys in the oven".
But I just heard him in "What Are Little Girls Made Of?". During the teaser, there's alot of bridge background chatter, and you can clearly hear his distinctive voice saying, "Communicator! We need more lines to the impulse deck!"
That's the only time I've ever heard that. We often heard other guys saying "gravity down to point 8" and "forward phasers, will comply", but that's the only time I can pick out the Bird's voice.
Now back to my regularly scheduled life.
