Marvellous! Those cabin measurements seem an almost dead match to the released blueprints - they must have built them pretty close

Not entirely. The bed platform elevation in the blueprints is 6 inches verses the TOS Stills height I estimate to be 18 inches. The mattress is much thicker in the blueprints compared to TOS stills. When looking at it the wall right of the office door is narrower by 1/3rd in stills than on the blueprints. The post in the blueprints the center cabinet / dresser beam and arch rest on in the blueprints is 9 inches when I had to widen it to a foot so the beam would be flush to match stills. The arch in the blueprints I was not really comfortable with given how rough it was. The secret to matching the beams is matching the lower line of the arch and measuring up 9 inched square to every bit of that curve. When I do the revised drawings I'll be including that note. In a hurry I traced the model beams, and not happy with how rough they turned out. Next time I'll do it from the same onion skins I used for my arch templates for the model. I just have to find them. Amazing how much of a mess you can make blowing through paper and materials and it piles up.

Thanks. I been dithering not posting until I had something to update. Was in the process of doing the finalized clean up drawings of the engineering consoles after spending 2 weeks reviewing all known stills. Had to go to the blue ray stills in a few cases. But put all that on hold with the seasonal weather changes that I wanted to work back in a climate controlled space and have the entire stage 9 model assembled in one piece. Been spending the past couple of months clearing out my loft and building a table for the entire stage 9. Table is not complete but 90% of the entire stage 9 model is resting on it. A couple of pieces got damaged in shuffling the models around. Nothing major and simple to repair. The section of corridor in front of sickbay and the exam room. Was lacking better overhead support for the walls since those haven't been built yet. The two pictures posted here are around 2 weeks old and give a pretty good idea where what is left in the table build. Still have 2 more bookshelves to break down to clear out the space to open it up more. That should be taken care by the end of next week. For Christmas I got a couple of things to assist in the project, a projection tv and a mini moniter out to HDMI adapter for my MacBook to do large acetate traces to capture any subtleties a smaller trace might miss. The ladder console drawing was built from acetate traces I pulled on my big screen tv with a usb stick workaround. With the moniter to HDMI adapter I can now use my laptop graphics apps scaling the images on the big screen tv which will be much easier.

At present the I've been taking a break from the project over the holidays to give attention to cleaning up and organizing the space in my loft for the project. I've been wasting a lot of energy having to move things back and forth to work on it. By leaving everything in place the energy burned now won't be wasted and I'll be more productive. Made a new year's resolution to wrap up the finalized console drawings then devote 2016 entirely to spitting out the finalized bridge build plans.

Thanks guys. I'm rather embarrassed how beat up it is looking. I guess I'm seeing what the camera isn't showing.

Maybe. But the camera is showing a work in progress and a huge accomplishment.

You're not done yet. And it's making our mouths water.

This is David Weiberg's set he made for his son. I knew he was building it but never saw it completed. He is the guy who made the miniature filming sets for TTI.

    I really liked those!

Not to mention that they were photographed well and used very effectively.

TTI is the abbreviation for the fan film episode "Starship Exeter: The Tressaurian Intersection."

    This it here on YouTube.
