She's watched the other half, while ranting that "this cheese does nothing for me, it's bad fanfic, total pants, trying to tug your heartstrings but just cheesy" - for a minute I thought I was married to Bones there...

"Forest of the Dead" would be more interesting.Oh, and I can't be the only one who figures the "river" in the "the only water in the forest is the river" quote is River Song, right? The rest of the quote makes me think of either "The Forest of the Dead" or that arboretum aboard the Byzantium in "Flesh and Stone."

I should be so lucky. She's watched the other half, while ranting that "this cheese does nothing for me, it's bad fanfic, total pants, trying to tug your heartstrings but just cheesy" - for a minute I thought I was married to Bones there...
The two aren't mutually exclusive. So, no, your wife isn't Bones. Just perceptive.
The two aren't mutually exclusive.

So your wife knows she has bad taste, right?![]()
That they wish they were Bones so they could be right all the time? The two aren't mutually exclusive.
Well, you know what they say about stopped clocks.
Let's blame Lawrence Miles. She's spot on, of course. Especially about the fanfic part. Tardis as a person is exactly the kind of awful fanwank idea that hundreds of fans have probably started writing, only to realise it's rubbish. And yet Writing God Gaiman didn't seem to.
Ah, Lesley says her problem with this episode was that she much preferred how they handled putting the TARDIS in mortal form when they did it with Rose in Parting Of The Ways...
But Rose just gobbled the Time Vortex (not that that means anything at all whatsoever), not the Tardis itself.
you are right she did aborsb the Time Vortex. If i remember correctly it was the Time vortex that rose absorbed, not the actual consciousness of the Tardis.
But don't quote me on that.
