That was a good episode but I'm a little pissed that so little was explained. I guess I'm used to the RTD era of mostly self contained two parters. I feel like so very little was resolved from the opening ten minutes of the season. We still don't know who the girl is. We still don't know why the Silence had her. We still don't know why she killed the Doctor. We still don't know how the Doctor survives. We still don't know why he sent the Companions back to witness his death. We still don't know why the damaged Silence Tardis was in the "The Lodger". We still don't know how/why the Silence detonated the Tardis in the season finale...
I also thought it was funny that the Doctor didn't attempt to make a sweep of the Tardis to make sure there weren't any Silence on board. Seems important to me.
I was thinking that, perhaps, it wasn't empty and abandoned. And the TARDIS in The Lodger is suddenly explained. Dead Silents, abandoned ship looking for a pilot. Wow, that's a callback.
Great...*ANOTHER* race that has been influencing human history all along! How many is that for Who now? 4? 5?

It just appeared that way because nobody remembers seeing anyone inside of it.
I have a feeling that it is Amy' daughter (who is somehow Timelord-ified by time travel) who also turns out to be River.
Didn't Doctor Donna say that there can't be a human-timelord hybrid?
I'm not familiar enough with Doctor Who, but can the current showrunner (Moffat) just override stuff established by the previous showrunner (RTD)?
For example, I presume that the mysterious markings on Amy, River and Rory were a tally count of meetings with the Silence, but as this was never explained it can only remain as that, rather than a solid affirmation, and there was probably too much of this sort of thing going on this week.
That thought crossed my mind too.Is she really Amy's daughter? I saw some interesting theories that the Silence used their proto-TARDIS to take her back in time, where she had her daughter, and then made her forget, which is why she's no longer pregnant in the current time and that's what's confusing the TARDIS scanner.
