I did get the quote right, didn't I?
Can I use that as my avatar?

In the book River had am I right in thinking that it said that any image of the angel becomes the angel?
Because I have just watched Blink and at the end of the episode Sally gives the doctor a folder and in the folder is a picture of a angel.
So did I miss understand?

There has to be an angel nearby to project itself through the image and in Blink they were weak and scavengers.

Possibility one: The Doctor said the video was a projection of the Angel from the ship. It was controlling it. So, maybe, the photo Sally took was safe, because it was of an angel that was trapped, always in sight of it's fellows. If the real one can't move, neither can its avatar.

Possibility two: Shit.

Haha, I think that's a big whoops moment there.

Though David's fanwank is pretty good.

Actually, I really prefer possibility two, and that somewhere in the TARDIS, that evil photo is plotting its revenge on the Doctor.

Nah, we're not allowed to mention previous continuity. See this quote from the TARDIS parking break thread:

It's good to see the producers give the finger to the nerds who want American style continuity rather than the more British consistency that the show is based up.

Anyone notice River's note when she opened the diary?

"Now let's see, have we done the Bone Meadows yet?"

(I think it was Bone Meadows.)

Sounds coll and scary. And keep in mind she said when we first met her "Have we done the crash of the Byzantium yet?"

Yeah, very cool. I still think this week's episode should have been titled, "The Crash Of The Byzantium."

Also, I love how River apparently has pictures of all the Doctor's faces, and how when she met Tennant she said, "Judging by your face, I'm going to say it is early days for you..."

Anyone notice how next week they all appear to be in a forest glade? How'd they get THERE, and were maybe only the Doctor and Amy touched by an Angel...hmmmm..."River?"

You did notice that they're actually on a heavily inhabited planet, right? And that there's a whole world outside of that one little catacomb, yes? Which the Doctor is apparently about to jettison them all out of courtesy of the gravity ball he shot in the cliffhanger.

Can't believe I was ever hesitant about the return of River Song! Oh, this episode was Christmas.

I'm pleased that Moffat was able to keep River being every bit the mystery as the Doctor.

This episode didn't do much for me I'm afraid. Much to my chagrin as many here seem quite pleased.

I'm thinking the problem for me is that I don't really care for two major elements this week: River Song and the Weeping Angels. The whole "Don't Blink" business just isn't doing much for me this time around and I think I get what they're going for with River but it's just not clicking. In fact, it seems like the last episodes have had good elements but everything isn't quite clicking in place just yet. I was disappointed to find this to be a two-parter.

I did think the scene with Amy and the monitor (if out of the blue) was pretty effective though I would have like to have seen the Doctor's efforts be a bit more frantic. The bit with the heist was kind of fun and reminded me a bit of some of the stuff in Bill and Ted. I thought the Doctor nicking the box was amusing, no wonder he wasn't too harsh on Lady Christina's crimes.
The next week's trailer looks promising with things racheted up a notch. I'm hoping it will work better whether the blame actually lies in the episodes themselves or with myself. I was surprised to see the crack show up.
Loved the episode. Doctor great! Any great! I'm not sold on River's future relationship with the Doctor. I just can't buy that the Doctor would associate (let alone marry) with someone with probable questionable morals. I will wait to see how their story pans out in the future. I don't dislike the character or the actress there is just something I feel is off about her and don't get why she is anymore special than any other companion. I actually like the telling the story of a relationship out of order. Again I can't see the Doctor "falling" for her. Will be interesting to see what happens when River meets the Doctor for the first time from her perspective and see what happens. At the moment I get the feeling that the Doctor doesn't really like her and is wondering what he will eventually see in her.

Other than that fantastic episode and I can't wait for the conclusion.
