Pretty good episode, but not quite as funny as it could have been. It fell a few feet shy of greatness.

Good (7.5/10)

I should add too that it was nice seeing the images of the previous Doctor's when the Doctor head butt's Craig and a bit later when Craig exclaims "what!" made me think of the Tenth. I agree with one of the posters who mentioned that the hologram thingy resembled the First Doctor and sounded like him too. I've been really enjoying the references to the previous Doctor's. Karen was brilliant in a reduced by still important part in this episode and her finding the engagement ring in the Doctor's pocket is interesting. I'm curious as to what's running through her head right, probably "What? What? What?" Lol.

I wonder if it's a future version of the Dr's Tardis but i think he would have recognised it seeing how him and the tardis are linked. he showed no sign of recognition.

by the way i liked the scientist on confidential myself

I don't think it was a future version of the Tardis and I agree the Doctor showed no signs of recognizing it other than the fact that it was a Tardis that was being built.

Well remember it was a crashed ship. So it's entirely possible that the ship is a TARDIS that's being slowly regrown/rebuilt. What we could have seen is a TARDIS sans the desktop theme.

Quick theory:
That the reason the Emergency Hologram sounded and looked like the 1st Doctor is that it was a avatar of the 1st Doctor and the ship was saw was the TARDIS. Which explains why the TARDIS was having trouble landing. And it could tie back to the destruction of the TARDIS at the end of the season.

Nice ideas and all, but I hope it's a TARDIS craft that was not built on Gallifrey but built by another alien faction, which would still be a huge deal, showing this yet mysterious faction are as similarily advanced as the Time Lords, with this mysterious timeship being the product of alien engineering convergently developed quite seperately from Rassilon's tech base.

Finale baddies:

Season 1: Daleks
Season 2: Cybermen/Daleks
Season 3: The Master
Season 4: Davros/Daleks
Season 5: ...Omega?

Is the Pandorica an "evil" TARDIS? One that contains not a ship but an entire universe? I mean, the Doctor said it was a fairytale... do we know from what species? If it's a Gallifreyan myth, maybe it comes from it's past...

This is one of the best episode of this season, and possible NuWho! I don't understand the negative comments toward it, it was brilliant.

First off, Daisy Haggard was really nice to look at the entire episode, she is a very beautiful women! VERY nice on the eyes.

Second, the humor in this episode was great! I loved the doctor holding up a regular screwdriver and saying "How do you turn this on?" lol I loved the Sonic Toothbrush gag, in fact I like the fact that he insisted on not using the sonic screwdriver. I like that he brought in regular stuff to build a scanner in his room, that was really neat. I loved all the little comments about not knowing about things, honestly there were a lot of good laughs in this episode.

I did not expect the ending, it was a twist that the upstairs wasn't even there! Now I wonder what other alien race has Time Engines and TARDIS like technology? I know there are only very few species capable of Time Travel like the Timelords can do, and the Timelords use to keep an eye on such activity, in fact stopping it if it was going to be used for bad. So now I want to know what alien species that ship belonged to. I also got an EMH feel from the hologram, especially when the Doctor said that bit about "Please state the nature of your emergency" hehe.

Overall, a really fantastic episode, A+ Excellent all around, loved it loved it.

Oh please. He didn't say he didn't know what football was, he asked to be reminded which one it was. Don't you think 'knowing everything about everything' makes picking out specific bits of everything less than straightforward? You know, as evidenced by the Doctor's behaviour, oh, every week? And which part of his UNIT-years exile involved him living as 'a normal bloke' anyway? Out for a pint with the lads? A kickabout with the Brig? Back to the bachelor's pad with a tie hanging around Benton's door?

And anyway, comedy doesn't let facts get in the way.

Plus, he is old, perhaps he is getting senile lol

That is how i took it, the Doctor is just getting old, he has a LOT to remember, and things get jumbled up sometimes, he can't recall everything in the right order cause his life is so out of order all the time haha

Not much to say really - a good laugh throughout, Matt Smith is great, felt like the Doctor in an episode of Spaced. 8/10

Unusual use of the Tennant era TARDIS set, or bits of if, almost unrecognizable, but a good budget-saver.

You just know the Hate Mail/Mary Shitehouse brigade will complain that it'll encourage kids to nut each other, except that...

Nobody will be watching cos England is playing football on the other side.

Next Time trailer however -

Chelonians mentioned among all the monsters we know are appearing?! Does this mean we'll actually see the buggers at last?

Also mentioned were the Drahvins!

Why are people assuming the new TARDIS was an alien construct? There was more than one Time Lord in existence at one point. This one could have been what was left from an attempt to break out of the Time War like Dalek Caan or whatever his name was. Except this Time Lord didn't fare as well, burning to a crisp rather than just going batshit insane.

Afterall, he specifically called it a TARDIS. Not a "time machine from a rival species" or anything like that. Does he call the Dalek's time travel capabilities TARDISes? Nope. And that's why, because they're not.

The question is what Time Lord it belonged to.

Well the confidential was semi-disappointing. I was hoping for some inside scoop on that shower scene. :(

I liked this episode overall, the football montage went on a bit but the humour was fairly good throughout. It was good to see the doctor struggling with just being normal and what the social norms of a given time period is.
My only worries are about the ring, maybe it will jog Amy's memory, maybe it will in some weird scene end up being why the doctor and River get married. But I've got a horrible feeling that Amy will think that the doctor has got the ring for her and "hilarity" will ensue

^ That's possible...she did have a serious expression on her face though when she found like she was trying to figure out what who it was from? As I pointed out in another thread I'm of the opinion that the Pandorica is connected to the Time Lord's somehow or could may be Omega. I didn't consider The Rani.

Did anyone catch how "ME SAD" was written under the "DOCTOR ROCKS" on the fridge with the letter magnets?

^ Yeah...I noticed too that on the right side the letters AS and I think D were on the fridge door. Not sure if that meant anything, probably not.
