Well remember it was a crashed ship. So it's entirely possible that the ship is a TARDIS that's being slowly regrown/rebuilt. What we could have seen is a TARDIS sans the desktop theme.
Quick theory:
That the reason the Emergency Hologram sounded and looked like the 1st Doctor is that it was a avatar of the 1st Doctor and the ship was saw was the TARDIS. Which explains why the TARDIS was having trouble landing. And it could tie back to the destruction of the TARDIS at the end of the season.
Weak; dangerously close to clunker territory. I honestly didn't think that would happen this series.

Nice ideas and all, but I hope it's a TARDIS craft that was not built on Gallifrey but built by another alien faction, which would still be a huge deal, showing this yet mysterious faction are as similarily advanced as the Time Lords, with this mysterious timeship being the product of alien engineering convergently developed quite seperately from Rassilon's tech base.
Oh please. He didn't say he didn't know what football was, he asked to be reminded which one it was. Don't you think 'knowing everything about everything' makes picking out specific bits of everything less than straightforward? You know, as evidenced by the Doctor's behaviour, oh, every week? And which part of his UNIT-years exile involved him living as 'a normal bloke' anyway? Out for a pint with the lads? A kickabout with the Brig? Back to the bachelor's pad with a tie hanging around Benton's door?
And anyway, comedy doesn't let facts get in the way.
Anyone else catch the ST:Voyager reference with the time vessels hologram?
Not much to say really - a good laugh throughout, Matt Smith is great, felt like the Doctor in an episode of Spaced. 8/10
Unusual use of the Tennant era TARDIS set, or bits of if, almost unrecognizable, but a good budget-saver.
You just know the Hate Mail/Mary Shitehouse brigade will complain that it'll encourage kids to nut each other, except that...
Nobody will be watching cos England is playing football on the other side.
Next Time trailer however -
Chelonians mentioned among all the monsters we know are appearing?! Does this mean we'll actually see the buggers at last?
The question is what Time Lord it belonged to.
