50th Is "The Day Of The Doctor" (And Is 75 Minutes)

Hmm...so *that's* what the fall of Arcadia looked like! I did wonder.

Perhaps we'll also get to see the Nightmare Child, the armies of the never were and the degradation of the probably won't bes at some point. ;)

And another clip.

Sorta confirms that Rose isn't quite what she appears.

New mini-sode posted.. Haven't seen it here yet.. Sorry, though, if I missed it somewhere..

New mini-sode

And zapped. Damnit BBC!

what was in it?
A new recruit for the Time Lords in the Time War. With glitchy memory implants that kept having flash forwards to people screaming and dying. Put on the front line at the Fall of Arcadia. All first person, until he spots a dalek getting through the shield, then a whole army of them and the he gets exterminated.

Not surprised and quite relieved by the Hurt/Piper clip.

I think this might have been mentioned before awhile back but I noticed at one of the theaters in London showing the episode listed the run time as one hour and 22 minutes.

This could mean that they could be showing the Night of the Doctor minisode in theatres? That would be actually cool, since its relevant to the plot, and because its a well-written piece.

Plus, it would mean that, in an ironical twist, Paul McGann ended up in another movie showing. This time in cinemas. :D

It occurs to me that "Night of the Doctor" was released early because it was about to be leaked. Maybe "The Last Day" was meant to come out first as a teaser, followed by "Night." That way it wouldn't have been an anticlimax.

Ads? Trailers?

Ah, cool. I wonder if there will be any showings at the cinema in the days afterward.

Anyone know why Russell T Davies hasn't been a part of any of the retrospective stuff? He's conspicuous by his absence I thought. Maybe too busy with his new Channel 4 shows?

They added some showings Monday night at my local cinema, so I'm going then. Quite exciting, actually.
