50th Is "The Day Of The Doctor" (And Is 75 Minutes)

Two months out, and still no trailer. Just logos with the TARDIS sound? Seriously BBC?

Maybe something will air after Atlantis, a REAL teaser.

If not, it pisses me off more that those two cons got trailers that no one else got to see.

They better start REALLY promoting this in the next couple of weeks.

Just read the blog post where they hype up a never-before-seen-trailer created specifically for The Day of the Doctor. Um...aren't all official trailers created specifically for the films in question? And it's still in post production? Seriously? How long does it take to put together a 3 minute trailer with footage you've had for months?

This new trailer better have stuff they recently re-shot and kept secret, like classic cameos and stuff. That's the only reason I can think of for this ridiculous delay after the con trailers this summer.

I think it's that the BBC publicity department are a bit like the fans: they simply can't believe that there isn't more being made for the anniversary, so they're going ahead with a big publicity campaign, pre-announcing trailers etc, even though they then find they don't have anything to deliver... "What do you mean we can't include a subliminal shot of Tom Baker? Tom Baker has got to be in it, you can't have left him out! Please, just a half second teaser glimpse of him..."

I love how the BBC is trumpeting the global simulcast as if it's new information. BBC Worldwide announced this in July. At this point, the BBC is trolling fandom.

If it's as global and iconic as they're saying, they should be releasing tangible tidbits. I guess they will be in the next 2 weeks or so, but I'm still miffed.

So what time will this air in the US? 1pm? 2pm?
