50th Anniversary Rewatch Thread

Thanks. It just sometimes feels like all anyone cares about is being snarky about anything that gets posted. That gets wearying.
I see your point. You, Harvey, Donny, Sir Rhosis, IndySolo, Alchemist, and so many others contribute so much to my understanding of the history of TOS. More to the point, you have cleared up a lot of the conjectural misunderstandings I’ve developed in lieu of historical sources. I am very grateful and I’m sure I speak for many here on this thread and across the board.

Speaking only for myself, though, sometimes I do bristle at the way information is shared. What strikes me as a kind of condescension is probably not intended that way. For instance, IRL I practice a profession that’s been a staple of network television since before Minnow; I deal with a lot of misconceptions in consequence. More often, though, I expect people to understand nuances of the trade that comes only with years of experience. In short, I’m not always as patient or generous in my responses as I could be.

That said, I truly enjoy your posts, your observations, and your corrections. I hope you and the other experts continue to share with us, snark notwithstanding.

Welp, I guess that's that then.

Can't believe it's been almost 3 years now since the thread started. My thanks to everyone who joined along the way to watch, and especially to those that stuck it out from the very start. It's been a fun ride, I've learned some new stuff, enjoyed reading all your comments (even when I disagreed with some :p) and most importantly really enjoyed watching the show all over again. :techman:

We should do it again sometime, what are you all up to in let's say another 50 years? :D

Its great to get the insights behind the scenes, episodes, the thoughts that went into them.
Thank you for giving us this insight.
