Now that Mega Millions has reached the $500 million mark, are you playing?

I probably have a better chance of seeing a ghost than winning the lottery.

I'm in a small pool (4-6 people) at work.

If things go according to plan...

...

I won't be in Monday

We went in on my floor to (6 people). Though I don't know what the company will do if we win! And I'll feel a bit guilty leaving after having been hired only this week, it seems ungrateful. Not guilty enough to stay, though. :D

I wish I had 500 million I already have a plan if I ever do

basically....

1) Buy a fancy house and rich people stuff
2) Make some smart investments
3) Vote Republican.;)

That said, if I can get a ticket, I will.

Cost to buy a MegaMillions ticket - $1.00
Thinking about all the fun stuff you could do with $500 million - Priceless.

I'm in. :techman:

I did the math awhile back. As I recall, once the jackpot is over 150 million or so it makes mathematical sense to play. The expected return is actually higher than what you put in at that point....eventually. After playing millions of times in such a scenario.

The most I've ever won is $100 on a scratcher.

I play the lottery every day, but only because I got a Heart and Stroke lottery calendar for Christmas. I'm entered in a daily $5,000 draw, weekly $10,000 draw and monthly $25,000 draw. I know I won't win, but it's still exciting!

I will get those Cash for Life ones now and then, just for fun.

I'll buy one. And if on the day after the drawing I start a thread filled with megalomaniacal laughter you will all know that I won.

^Surely, you could hire someone to make your posts for you. Should you win, I'd like to volunteer for hire to make your posts for you going forward.

I'd only charge like $500. per post.

The latest news is that it's at $540 million and expected to rise significantly more before the drawing tomorrow night.

I play megamillions and powerball when they get around the 100 million mark.

Usually $10 per drawing, lately $20 - $40.

Yup. I'm in an office pool and I'll probably buy a couple tickets on my way home tomorrow. I'm not a regular gambler, but I play when it gets over $300 million.
