They were trying to rescue Seven and Tuvok, weren't they? And I think some of the messages they were expecting were lost, Tom's was anyway.

Right, they were trying to beam Seven and Tuvok off of the Hirogen ship. They didn't get all of the personal letters and didn't get the entire message directly from Starfleet
The Hirogen said stay away, do not use our communication network. Voyager ignored them. Its like telling your neighbor he cant borrow your lawn mower but he does it anyway.Then the lawnmower gets broken.
Whos fault is that?
They would have stayed away if the Hirogen didn't have Tuvok and Seven.
I have a question for you. In the beginning of this thread you mentioned that your time was limited which is why you didn't want to watch every episode, but here you say you have limited yourself to only one episode. If your time is limited why not watch more than one a day?
Mainly because I try to keep my tv watching to one hour a day or less. I like to spend free time doing other activities away from any type of screen.
Actually the Hirogen only got Tuvok and 7 because they were messing around with the communications array which they were told to stay away from the episode before. Then 7 electrically shocked a Hirogen because he told Voyager not to use the array.
Day 26 – Prey
So Janeway is on a real roll. This time she almost destroyed Voyager and the only person who could stop her was 7 of 9. Does no one else on the crew see the Kate Muldew is going to get them all killed?
Overall I liked this 3 pack of episodes (Message in a Bottle, Hunter, Prey) especially the second and third episodes. There is some nice continuity and serialisation here with past episodes. 7 of 9 was in fine form and is becoming a really a good character on the show. She even saved everyone’s life (then Muldew decided to punished her, seems like the right response).
I do have one question: When Harry Kim was attacked by Species 8472 he got some weird things growing out of his nose and almost died. How come that didn’t happen this time? Didn’t the half Klingon girl get attacked?
Tomorrow I will be watching 4x18 The Killing Game 1.

I cant say I really enjoyed part 1. I had trouble accepting the whole premise of the episode. Hirogen as Nazis didn't really work for me. It felt like this should have been a Cardassian episode or something, maybe a left over TNG script or DS9 script. Either way I will reserve all judgement until I see part 2.
Part 2 tomorrow with 4x19 The Killing Game 2.

That two parter was just ridiculous crap. Hirogen walking around dressed as Klingons and Nazis. People running around the ship with machine guns and dynamite. What utter nonsense. Plus another stupid Holodeck episode. Glad to be done with it all.

Are you asking why Harry didn't die?
Not exactly. When Harry got attacked by that species he had something growing out of him and they had to give him the nano probes. This time when people got attacked they didn't need any nano probes. Why was that?
It was a different situation. In Scorpion Harry was flat out attacked. In Prey the 8472 was injured and trying to hide, it wasn't on the offense.
Day 29 – Living Witness
Pretty good episode. The first half was interesting (even though it was sort of another parallel universe with events that never really happened) and the second half was great. It had a good theme and interesting twist on a Star Trek episode. I liked this one.
