30-minute sitcoms!

Seinfeld wasn't supposed to be funny. He was the straight man. Everybody around him was funny, and that's what made the show good.

The problem with that line of reasoning is that no one on the show was funny. There was not one second during the entire run of the show which was even slightly amusing.

This is either one of the worst exaggerations I've heard in a long time, or you are a big-time masochist for watching nine seasons of a comedy show that you do not find funny. For the record, I find the first two seasons the funniest and dislike the direction the show took in later seasons.

If your cardio still allows you to hear the show well, then I would recommend Twilight Zone, even though it's not in the sitcom arena.

I don't think anyone's mentioned Coupling yet. It's hilarious and it has some really good gimmick episodes. For instance one episode is presented in splitscreen where half the cast is on the top part of the screen and the other half is on the bottom part.

The Big Bang Theory is amazing and if you can't get the humor then you shouldn't be on TREK BBS  I feel so haters (not many) are annoyed because it reminds them how they are ;)

Also Scrubs is my personal number 1 sitcom of all time :techman: so should try that.

Also, is Big Bang Theory that show with the rock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock thing? I saw that clip and thought it was absolutely retarded. Tell me the show is better than that.

Yes, it is much better than that. I don't trust commercials for shows anymore these days, they always seem to choose the dumbest clips and edit them in the worst ways possible.

I really would recommend Big Bang Theory, especially if you know someone in the physics field as it is so true to life in a hysterically funny way.

Episodes of Friends are always good, as well as Arrested Development and The Office.

For a show that's currently airing, check out Modern Family. It's one of the very few new sitcoms in recent years that I actually enjoyed and found myself laughing out loud at.
