One nitpick, before the droid planet attack, they talked about going to Novos and maybe fixing there gate so they could connect to the settlement plant and take the 30 settlers back (vs taking them all on Destiny) . Why are they worryed about fixing the gate on Novos?? There is a gate on Destiny that could dial the settlement planet when they reach Novos. The settlers gate to Destiny and then shuttle down to Novos.

Well if they fixed the gate on Novos, the colony could continue and get resupplied regularly as originally planned. But yeah, the way the dialogue put it, the fixing of the gate on Novos sounded like the only option for return at all.

While scientifically speaking, some say its possible to produce an offspiring of that amount in given time, practically i tend to believe otherwise. I do not believe in this days a society will prosper, where parents tend to have offspring from multiply partners, and having that offspring produce more offspring with forced selection.
It just looks like a very unstable foundation for building a society.

hmm..so Chloe gang bang..lol

Personally I think "Helvetica" would be a cool name

I cracked up when someone suggested "Russia."

Any idea why these people still seemed to be living in tents after being stranded there for 30 years?

I am hoping that broberfett is wrong and that this perfectly preserved city (with technology that's obviously Destiny-compatible) can be used to repair a good number of her systems.

I also think that the population gated to a different world, and that the refugees will be able to rejoin them there.

I enjoyed this one, looking forward to the resolution. Really too bad that this show is getting canned just as it's improving...

Apart of me thinks "Rushia" would be a strict country.

I guess the people that left Novo wanted to live off the land.

I guess Young's country used up all the technology

Closed-captioning had it as “RUSHA.”

And I was wondering about the tents for 30 years, too. What, they couldn’t build log houses? It’s one thing to think rescue’s going to come, but when you start having kids, you build a house.

I like the idea of repairing Destiny from the Novus-supplied goods. And if they can find the gate, can they determine when it was last used and where to?

Very interesting that TJ and Young were together and having at least one kid. No Varro. And they both saw that in the video.

Actually the settlement seemed to have a decent level of technology. (I liked the modern-style metal folding chairs when they were drinking tea!) Whether it was stuff that they preserved for 30 years or stuff they produced themselves, that's inconsistent with their story of scrabbling for survival. Or living in tents.

It's doubly odd since the Kino footage showed the Destiny survivors building really nice homes after only ten years.

Coupled with the "but the Destiny has a gate they could use at Novos..." stupidity, I can't begin to imagine why anyone says the writing for this show is wretched. They can't even stay consistent in a single episode...

There were a couple other settlements. Maybe this one is new and they hadn't started construction yet.

Unless the script actually called for tents, you can't just blame the writing for this. Budget might have been a factor. Maybe they weren't allowed to construct log sets on location.

Overall this was a very good episode. Too bad they couldnt stretch this out over a half a season or more. There are so many different ways they could go with this...

Well they certainly can't now since its canceled, imagine if this storyline is where they ended it.

The big question is, who did Eli hook up with?

Does anyone know the male to female ratio of the crew, seems to me its about 70 percent men or so.
