I don't immediately recognize the ships shown to be attacking Earth. Does anyone? Is the second planet Vulcan being destroyed by red matter or just a different shot of Earth? The starting point of the explosion does not appear to line up with the explosion in the moon shot.

The ships attacking Earth appear to be similar in design to the probe that came through the temporal anomaly

What do the projectiles fly past? There are blurry grey shapes at the lower edge of the frame - a defensive formation of some sort, helpless for reason X to stop the ships?

I'm sort of disappointed they didn't give the Talosians a full head of hair.

For a moment I was thinking they were the Kaylon invasion fleet from last week. And a different show altogether, but masses of identical, rounded grey ships can do that to you. ;)

So... they've gone back to the "time war" well after Star Trek: Enterprise handled the subject matter so well.

Also, why have they made their rebooted Talosians like like something from the Berman era? No more sodding vertical face ridges, please.

Also note the homage Into Darkness shot of the S31 ship coming up on Discovery at warp.

A chance for me to be a pedantic Trekkie! Yay!

"Temporal Cold War", dear. * coughs and readjusts monocle *

Sorry not sorry for the double post. I'm too lazy to edit that right now. I'll try to not do it again, though.

The TCW occurred across time. I wouldn't mind a brief shout out, especially since the 28th century is a front in the War. Otherwise, though, whatever the Red Angel and his or her cronies are doing would be best unrelated. It would kinda match to have the 28th century be a sort of "temporal Wild West" era, where everyone gets easier time travel and runs rampant, before the strict authoritarian law of the 29th century bears down on them, and eventually time travel is treated more responsibly and with care by the 31st century.

Culber and Tyler fighting in the mess hall!!!
It was only a matter of time.

There's a lot of time. Doesn't have to be the same time conflict, or even the same players. I did like the callback to ID.
