Average. Good stuff with the POTUS in the War Room, but the Veep's heart attack sure came at a convenient time.
I was expecting it to be a ruse...but no...just sloppy writing.
Not buying Traitorous Starbuck one whit. Isn't this the same cowardly woman who was quaking at the idea of her white-trash boyfriend ratting her out and couldn't figure out how to handle the situation without fucking everything up? Now she's Ms. Cool Double-Agent. Why didn't she just call on her terrorist buddies to have the guy killed in the first place? Blergh.

) and the Chief of Staff are acting insane. You would think the President would do a better job appointing people to work under her! The betrayal in season two worke because the groundwork was laid at the very beginning of the season and was allowed to slowly pay off. The Chief of Staff becomes a part of an insane proposition in a matter of minutes because...well, that's what the plot demands.
) has already had TWO nuclear devices detonated on its soil, one of which killed a whole lot of people in LA in early season 6. Neither event caused much of a stir within the general public, not that we ever have time to see what they're thinking...we're too busy watching moles and other boring subplots. The blatant disregard for these past events is of course a 24 hallmark, but it's funny when it's directly exposed like in tonight's ep.
. Yet again we have rogue elements within the administration, although naturally I'm not surprised.
