Agent Freckles looks better this season, I have to say. Doesn't make up for the writers allowing her and Tony to render Jack largely redundant towards the end of the last season.

Interesting, since there's a very loud countercomplaint that the whole series revolves around Jack and it should be an ensemble. Show can't win.

Jack Bauer is still the lead character in this show. From the second half of the last season onwards, after Jack was infected, he was sidelined with Walker and Tony getting most of the action.

Nothing wrong with spreading it around, but Jack had very little to do aside from sitting around being ill.

There was no change of pace, it was just someone else trying to pretend they were Jack and not really doing a very good job.
