I'm not sure when the movie actually opened up around the rest of the world, but in my neck of the woods, the movie "opened" last night at 7pm and had several showings across several theaters.

Bogus number. Most box office analysts are predicting a $5 million dollar Thursday evening for all showings combined (7:00 - 12:00).

Hell the 195 seat theater I was in for the 7:00 showing last night had a whopping 21 people in it... yup 21 people. Trek will make it's money over the weekend starting Friday night. Don't be too terribly concerned if Thurdays numbers are not huge.
