I've never read anything by this guy, but according to the science fiction news site File 770, he's been banned from Kickstarter, Patreon, the Games Manufacturers Association, and Twitter (for a year or two), and he's had some other run-ins as well.

I literally LOLed when I saw that it was cowritten by Theodore "Vox Day" Beale. That's hilarious. Vox Day.A guy who claims Robert Picardo dared him to make his own Starfleet Academy on twitter, has released an off-brand AI slop book in 4 weeks. How is the release going, you ask?

With so few books coming out a year now and so many more recent shows, we're lucky to even be getting one.I want more TOS novels for the 60th anniversary.

Not to mention The Enterprise War, which although Discovery branded, it was Discovery season 2 branded and essentially a prequel to the Enterprise's appearance there.First one came out ten months after the premiere aired. (So between the finale and season two starting.)
But can't really be considered a "Strange New Worlds novel" at all, considering it came out three years before SNW started. It's 'Discovery branded' because Discovery was the only show that existed at the time. Not to mention The Enterprise War, which although Discovery branded, it was Discovery season 2 branded and essentially a prequel to the Enterprise's appearance there.
