I don't even know what Curry's VIP thing means
I'm in Germany and there is still effort needed if you want a PS5 now and not wait a couple of weeks with a preorder in some online store until they get a new shipment in. If i had the patience and absolutely wanted one i could have gone this route and maybe even had one before Christmas but as i said i'm in no hurry.
Still it is a new experience in the western world for me to wait years until a product is available in such large numbers that you can pick it up anytime you want. I know it's a special case and many factors came together to cause one massive problem and to be honest i don't know if i wanted to be a Sony employee in the Playstation division - on the one side i love to solve problems like these and find solutions but on the other hand the pressure within Sony to get the consoles out must have been enormous and if it depends on external providers there is little you can do.
