The book exists in the real world, in hard copy. It hasn't been pulled or cancelled. I've managed to get a hold of a copy. A poster on the Doctor Who fan forum has already read it and posted a few thoughts. Finally we have at least one of those Kelvin timeline novels (aside from those YA books).

Only in that it's a profile angle that was commonly used in TAS. The proportions and details are different, though.

Well, the paperback is delayed in the UK. But obviously the eBook is available. So for those of you who read pBooks, time to switch as I can see delays for that version.

It's so weird seeing TOS Enterprises that aren't quite right in this day and age. The big stretched windows, the more modern font on the registry, it's like looking at a version of the ship from a '90s video game or something. It's got flair, though, so I have to assume it's a choice by the artist to put a bit of a spin on it, but it still reminds me of back when reference material was sparse and artists had to half-guess what spaceships and such "really" looked like.

Sometimes exaggeration is useful in art. In this case, the image of the ship is relatively small on the cover, and it would be even smaller on an e-reader or smartphone screen, which is how a growing number of readers experience book covers these days. So it makes sense to exaggerate the details. It's only in the enlarged HD image, blown up to the size of a small poster, that you can really see how this version differs from the original.

Were you following the great covers on IDW's TAS vs Transformers covers (2018)?

Link doesn't work. Another Picard book would be appreciated, though.

I’m betting on It being a Seven novel.

I feel like you are right.

If you are, I wonder who will write it. Beyer would be the obvious choice, but she has other fish to fry these days!

Or a Rios novel. I haven't read the first book yet, but from what people have said, it sounds like he was the only main character who wasn't part of it.
