That was a nerve-wrecking game by Germany. So much drama! It really had everything - Löw with disheveled hair pacing up and down in the coaching zone, Rudy's broken nose and bleeding all over the place, epically bad passes, dozens of missed chances, Boateng sent off and finally that awesometastic freekick goal by Kroos in the last minute of stoppage time, just when almost everyone had given up hope. I thought Löw's era was over but hopefully not. I'm looking forward to even wilder hair at the next game. I hope that game finally freed the team from their weird psychological hang-up. I don't really expect them to go very far in this tournament (because of the flawed defense and the lack of efficiency at scoring goals) but at least they remembered how to play football well. I'm content with that. I'm half convinced that Portugal's going to win this thing.
We saw the traditional German fighting spirit in their second game That is the how Germany usually plays. Their first match against Mexico was a travesty. Belgium looking so good at the group stage. I hope they go all the way to the final.
That's the unpleasant outcome I fear for this World Cup, too. Ugh. Narcisso Ronaldo's already massive ego would crush all life on the planet if it happened.
What i meant was that, they always start out with some promise but end up being ......... average at best.
I'm not used to England winning this decisively. They did very well and this win surely gave them some self-confidence. The game against Belgium will be interesting. Both teams play very openly so it could be quite an enjoyable game.
