I kinda wish we got a Kershaw/Arrieta match up though. Whenever the Giants play the Dodgers we always get Kershaw/Bumgarner. Always love seeing two elite pitchers going at it.
Kershaw's on another level though.

All the K's and lack of BIP outs drove up that pitch count pretty quickly.
Feels like Heyward would've had that early hit that Szczur trapped and ended up scoring.
Apparently, Madison Bumgarner wants to participate in the Home Run Derby. I know I'd definitely watch that. It would make things far more interesting.

Side note: When a game is postponed due to rain, who decides if the game can be made up as a doubleheader the following day? The managers? The commish? If not those, then who?
The reason I ask this is because the Mets/Pirates game got rained out tonight but they're making it up tomorrow. Fine, I get that. But this same thing happened a couple of weeks ago in Kansas City and they did NOT make it up the next day. Not really a big deal, I'm just curious as to the reasons.

Maybe it depends if the visiting team is coming to town again, or if there's a convenient off-day. It is a mystery.
In the old days, there were scheduled double headers, and sometimes the same guy would pitch both games, and I'd have to walk to school uphill both ways...in the rain...and other stuff.
